Delete[edit]

  1. It's pointless, and it doesn't say anything. All it does is tell you that these people exist, and the whole bottom part is just a bulleted list with links. Is Rationalwiki advertising these people? There's nothing critical said about them, and none of their arguments are discussed. This page should be deleted. Keep[edit]

  1. RW has articles on other groups which acknowledge reliable sources and sound arguments. If we were to follow this line thinking we would have to delete a number of missional pages where we aren't as critical of the article's subject(s), such as our article on climate change or our articles on evolution. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 16:26, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Those articles on climate change and evolution actually give valuable information. All this page does is advertise some talking heads on YouTube. Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 18:36, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
  2. Seems missional, can be expanded, and doesn't seem to have any significant problems.𝔖𝔲𝔪𝔪𝔞 𝔄𝔱𝔥𝔢𝔬𝔩𝔬𝔤𝔦𝔠𝔞 (𝔮𝔲𝔢𝔯𝔢𝔩𝔦𝔰) (𝔰𝔠𝔯𝔦𝔭𝔱𝔲𝔯𝔞)
  3. I believe that the article itself is missional. However I have always thought that the giant list of links is not. There's over 100 random links without any context or description. This is no better than someone's bookmark list uploaded to RationalWiki. Unless this list is thoroughly curated I support vaporizing it. The rest of the article is fine. If the giant list is all I can get deleted, then I'll take it. Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 18:36, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
  4. It's fine. Oxyaena Harass 17:07, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

  6. People listed need a short description of what they do and who they are. It's already overwhelming enough, making that list very counterproductive if we really want to help smaller content creators. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 19:50, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Keep the list, or at least add them to the vlogroll. Oxyaena Harass 20:11, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
I'm also not happy about that huge load of external links in a list that gives absolutely no indication about what those people do or why we should care. We've had similar discussion about other internet related pages in the past and agreed that uninformative lists like that aren't a good idea. I'd like to add my voice to those who say we either need a short description of everyone on the list or we don't need the list. Spud (talk) 08:47, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
  7. BreadTube is a common enough term that people will want to search for in RationalWiki. If there's need to improvement, article should get a rewrite than outright deletion. БaбyЛuigiOнФire🚓(T|C) 06:44, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
  8. Lists are valid either as links to people who have articles on them, or as short paragraphs for people who don't merit or are unlikely to get a full article, and BreadTube should be defined somewhere. But a list of hundreds of obscure YouTubers doesn't really fulfil either function. So as others say the first part is fine, the list at the end needs trimmed. --Annanoon (talk) 13:25, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

Goat[edit]

  1. While I'd like to give smaller Breadtubers the traffic, I (among others) also dislike listicles. Trim or nuke the linkfest. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 01:45, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
I think most of us agree that the page should be kept but something has to be done about the list. Can we declare this discussion closed, keep the page and continue talking about what should be done about the chuffing long list on the BreadTube talk page? Spud (talk) 05:39, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
