  1. Unlikely to be expanded and only marginally missional. —cosmikdebris talk stalk 16:57, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
  2. Borderline not missional (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Natsuki Marx ♥ (talk) 17:23, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
  3. Minor stub about an obscure politician. Yeet! Carthage (talk) 17:52, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
Not really an obscure politician at all (VP candidate of 1984 election and reasonably active in US politics before and after) but I cannot think of a mission-oriented aspect of her. BobJohnson (talk) 18:08, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
There is a difference between "obscure" and "not notable". How popular is Geraldine Ferraro in the popular discourse today, or even scholarly discourse for that matter? Carthage (talk) 10:25, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
  4. She was important for a year or so but definitely not now. Her impact was pretty minimal at best. Ψ (talk) 06:16, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
  5. Agree with Cosmik. However, I'm saying that with the caveat that I'm not American and thus, I might be missing something here. KarmaPolice (talk) 10:01, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
  6. Given that the article has been here since 2008 and it's still a pathetic, unreferenced stub, it needs to be put out of its misery. As a Limey who was only 10 when she was at her peak, I only know her name from a punchline in an old Garfield book. But that's beside the point. Spud (talk) 13:40, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
What was the punchline? Ψ (talk) 14:19, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
Punchline is overstating it a bit. It's from The Garfield How to Party Book (1988, ISBN 0345357248) which really has dick all to do with Garfield, apart from the illustrations. Anyway, it has an idea for a Secret Santa in it which entails people asking for really extravagant presents. When they get their gifts, they hear, "I couldn't get you..., but this will do." So if they ask for a trip to Paris, they get some French fries. If they ask for a Ferrari, they get a picture of Geraldine Ferraro. Spud (talk) 14:50, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
  7. I was the one who updated it a day or two ago to add her dates of birth and death, even if I wondered at the time if it was an article relevant to RW, at least in its current form. Time to delete, me thinks, and I'll go on with my happy wonking. JumboWhales (talk) 16:10, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

  1. It makes sense this article was created in 2008. She caused a stir during the 2008 U.S. presidential election after she said (from her Fox News post and as a Hillary campaign official) that Obama wouldn't have been winning if he weren't a black man. And, after he responded, she said he was sexist and just criticizing her because she was white. That's some more recent activity of interest, but I don't know if it changes anyone's mind.
