Demonization[edit]

Demonizing the US in what way? The US has done a lot of genuinely reprehensible shit in service of empire, and calling it out is a boon, not a bane. However, where it falls apart is when you start engaging in logical inconsistency (like apologizing for Chinese or Russian imperialism while criticizing American imperialism) or spreading fake news and misinformation (not that you really need to do so, any given Iraqi likely has a dozen horror stories from the American occupation alone). like calling them Satanist Neo-nazis, ←§ Edward the eight (talk) 12:15, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
Ah, ok. I do have to question the notability of this, though. Is some random Quora asshole really worth our attention? This might just boost his views, ironically. Carthage (talk) 12:21, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
He has 116 million views ←§ Edward the eight (talk) 12:22, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
Fair. We should probably set some guidelines for Quora though, like we do with Youtube. Carthage (talk) 12:23, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
like the Quoran having more than a million views ←§ Edward the eight (talk) 12:24, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

Bronze[edit]

This article is not bronze. To quote @Natsuki Marx:

Gonna be honest with you, this article is extremely shit, and almost every sentence has grammar mistakes or is written in broken English; even the quotes are seemingly typed by hand on a phone and riddled with errors. Maybe I'll go through it all at some point, but not now.

Natsuki and I have been going through it, correcting grammar and whatnot. But as it stands right now? Not bronze. At all. Carthage (talk) 11:58, 24 October 2023 (UTC)

I'll admit my grammar is shit but the quotes were copy pasted --Reichtangle (talk) 19:14, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
I didn't remove any quotes. Carthage (talk) 19:18, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

Rebronzing[edit]

Bronze was removed explicitly because the article is, to put it politely, of poor quality? Who readded it? Carthage (talk) 02:32, 12 November 2023 (UTC)

It still needs work as far as sentence structure and even putting periods at the end of sentences. A major problem though is that there are at least a couple of Quora citations that are being attributed to Finnegan, but the citations in question are to someone by the name of "Quora User" or "Concerned American". There needs to be some evidence that these anonymous accounts are the same person as Finnegan. Regards to Bronze, it really should at least get its citations in order first. Bongolian (talk) 02:36, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
@Reichtangle, the issue about whether "Quora User" or "Concerned American" is actually Alexander Finnegan needs to be addressed, or it risks those sentences being removed. Bongolian (talk) 07:18, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
I've clarified the "Quora User" issue which seemed to be most of the problem citations. Rebronzed. Bongolian (talk) 04:34, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
There remains the problem of the grammar, which remains subpar. Carthage (talk) 04:42, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
They just teach grammar a little differently at the CIA. Chillpilled (talk) 04:46, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Must be all that LSD they're taking. Carthage (talk) 04:55, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Fine, I'll debronze until someone goes through the grammar. Bongolian (talk) 05:01, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
I would do it except I just can't bring myself to care very much about Guy Who Posts On Quora. I would hope the average person is basically skeptical enough to realize a random Quora post isn't any more credible than any random Reddit or 4chan post. I would be wrong to hope that, but I would hope. (And if you're wondering how that compares with Hinkle, I honestly thought he was funnier to cover at least. Plus I've watched his platform develop since nigh the beginning and it was bizarre watching people take him serious.) Chillpilled (talk) 05:16, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
