Updating of article[edit]

The reason given for reverting the update was: this article has to accurately describe what these folks believe

I would argue that what I wrote was, in fact, exactly what these people, and I'm using the term loosely, really do believe. They may not claim it publicly, but what they say means nothing compared to what they do. — Unsigned, by: Arakh / talk / contribs 00:41, 30 September 2015‎

I just put a 5 minute block on you to ask you to be more thoughtful in your edits. Your views are welcome but it's not kosher to just storm in all new and hop from one abortion-related article to the next and make provocative edits without even taking it to the talk page first.---Mona- (talk) 23:44, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

So basically the problem was that my account was newly created? Arakh (talk) 23:34, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

No, I don't think so - just that it was seen as rather unnecessary. Removing the quote was a bit strange - some of your edits were seen as OK though - I think Mona has in fact paraphrased some. (I may be wrong there though.)(That's how to do a talk page reference or this is) Scream!! (talk) 00:43, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
Having said that - it would probably be better for any first edit to be aired on the talk page first. Scream!! (talk) 00:50, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
I'm as ardent a critic of Catholicism as anyone will find. My parents are Catholic wingnuts and my mother, until she got too old, was extremely active in the pro-life movement. But I also know lots of Catholics, past and present, who really do adhere to the "seamless garment" thing. Many of these vote Democratic regardless of a candidate's position on abortion. American Catholicism includes very liberal and even socialist strains. (Pope Francis may also be a socialist.) What I'm saying is "the" Catholic positon on abortion, its political priority, and how Catholics and Catholic pro-lifers behave, is pretty diverse. I'd like to see references for claims about Catholics and what they believe and say. It's actually sorta complicated.---Mona- (talk) 01:32, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
