Do people here prefer natural or artificial E120? Anna Livia (talk) 17:34, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

In this case, natural. More bugs, please. Bongolian (talk) 18:53, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
Eat Bugs
A fairly benign example of when the artificial version might be considered preferable (chiralty might be another example). Anna Livia (talk) 19:25, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
I've eaten bowls of silkworm pupae several times. People need to get over their squeamishness for eating bugs, especially when they're probably already eating fragments of them in packaged products. Given our own appalling agricultural industry, I don't see how eating bugs is any more disgusting than eating a chicken that has been through hell and living in her own crap. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 17:39, 12 March 2020 (UTC)

Caramel coloring[edit]

This one seems like to be an ingredient of contention. Center for Science in the Public Interest wanted a ban on it (as well as targeting yellow food dye and aspartame despite these two ingredients have little evidence of harm), and there's concern about its use in soda, and so on. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 02:44, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

The Center for Science in Public Interest really doesn't like food dyes[edit]

They have a .pdf chronicling a Rainbow Road of problems. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 03:24, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

Editing[edit]

The sentence beginning 'Some "natural" food dyes...' needs the 'however' reworked. Anna Livia (talk) 12:18, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
