Talk:Not a proof fallacy

This doesn't appear to be a common phrase, and is not very well explained. "If evidence is presented merely to argue that a hypothesis is more likely, it is not legitimate to respond that there is still a possibility that the hypothesis is false." Why the hell not? It is always legitimate to point out that there's a possibility a hypothesis is false, unless it has been proven conclusively. The example is also confusing. Anyway, we already have the concept of proof better covered elsewhere, and should delete this. ₩€₳$€£ΘĪÐMethinks it is a Weasel 05:55, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- I agree. Let's lose this. (although to be fair, we do make up these things sometimes, but this is not even a fallacy.) SophieWilder 08:23, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
