Name translation[edit]

"Staatkundig Gereformeerde Partij", in my humble opinion, correctly translates to "Politically Reformed Party". If it were a "Reformed Political Party", with the "Political" being an adjective, the Dutch name would be "Staatkundige Gereformeerde Partij". I believe that this translation is also used on the "Zetelverdeling Plenaire Zaal" leaflet by the Tweede Kamer information service (see the first reference at Geert Wilders. I agree the original translation was marginally better as such, but this is what wikipediaWikipedia and most English sites use (based on a quick Google search, anyway). sgp.nl doesn't seem to have an English site, but their youth devision has, which also uses Reformed Political Party. Hmm, that's strange. Apparently, the mannenbroeders have decided that English is a heathen language and that it should not be taught to their younger followers anymore, resulting in this. I feel very tempted to go and edit the WP page now. JorisEnter (talk) 11:20, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

More name questions[edit]

Shouldn't this page be called "Reformed Political Party" instead of using the abbreviation? The full name is also used on Party for Freedom (instead of PVV) and on United Kingdom Independence Party (instead of UKIP). --JorisEnter (talk) 09:00, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

meh, I don't particularly care. Both are fine if you ask me. If you have a burning desire to move the page feel free to do so ;-) Carpetsmoker (talk) 09:21, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
I like consistency. :) --JorisEnter (talk) 09:26, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I noticed... ;-) Carpetsmoker (talk) 09:31, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
