Anyone can find more info on this guy? Oxyaena Harass 12:56, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi, this Williams is very unlikely to be the Williams who publishes at OpenPsych. See my comment on the Psych journal talk page. I made the same mistake at first thinking this Williams was the OpenPsych guy, but its almost certainly not.Bigtom (talk) 13:36, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
It would help if you linked to the page with your comment: Talk:Psych (journal). But I agree it's improbable they are the same Robert L Williams, even if the lack of information about the OpenPsych Robert L Williams, who is described only as an "Independent researcher" (affiliated to no institution) [1], makes it hard to conclusively say they're different. --Annanoon (talk) 13:56, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
I updated the page to reflect the ambiguity surrounding this case. Oxyaena Harass 14:21, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Why don't you e-mail him: his e-mail address is on his 'personnel page'. Scream!! (talk) 14:23, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Good point, will do later (at school right now). Oxyaena Harass 14:24, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Hi, I have decided to remove the content about this Williams being the one from OpenPsych as it seems almost certain that they are not the same person. Someone who was so harshly critical of racism and IQ testing wouldn't touch OpenPsych with a ten foot pole. Jinx (talk) 14:38, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
@Jinx I saw that, good point. I`m still gonna email him just to make sure. Oxyaena Harass 14:47, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
@Oxyaena The OpenPsych pseudojournals page states "Of these, only Rindermann, Protzko and Williams have PhDs in Psychology..." which assumes that the Williams associated with the pseudojournal is the same as this guy. Nowhere on the OpenPsych webshite does it state that this Williams has a PhD in Psychology. On the paper published in the new journal, it again states that Williams is an "independent researcher" and his current email address is bvv@cox.net. Since the identity of the OpenPsych/Psych Williams is undetermined, we should remove the assumption in the OpenPsych article. Cosmikdebris (talk) 16:25, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
