2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Fun:Grasshopper

From RationalWiki
(Redirected from Grasshopper)
Jump to navigation Jump to search

A grasshopper is a "girly drink" made with creme de menthe, creme de cacao, and vodka. Conservapedians have never imbibed because they only drink Schmidt, or "animal beer".

It is also the name of an adolescent Kung Fu fighter in the Wild Wild West.

Isaac Asimov, generally a non-drinker, was a fan of grasshoppers, but was only ever allowed one at a time.[1]

Footnotes[edit]

  1. "A year or so later during the course of a science fiction convention, Judy-Lynn [Del Rey] persuaded me to have two grasshoppers and I was instantly reduced to a kind of wild drunken merriment, and since then no one lets me have grasshoppers any more. Just as well!" (The Bicentennial Man, 1975)
