Interaction ban[edit]

This is a formal notice that you are hereby banned from interacting with Oxyaena.

Specifically, you are banned from doing the following actions:

  • Edit their user talkpage. This extends to subpages in their userspace and essay talkpages.
  • Reply to them in discussions. Participation in the same discussions is still permitted, but direct responses are not.
  • Reference them anywhere on RationalWiki, directly or indirectly.
  • Revert their edits in any shape, way or form through the mediawiki interface.

This sanction can be enforced by any sysop with incrementing blocks and attached talkpage notices. Repeated violation may result in another Chicken coop or ATIM case being raised against you with the potential for further sanctions. (sorry for sh*tting up your page, Ace) @Sirius, Ace is a mod, can he be the target of Ibans at all? I raised this issue in the coop at the time (I think there was no firm consensus either way, but I could be wrong though), but it just seems unusual that it could be done to a mod. UninspiringNickname (talk) 21:17, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
If I need to moderate Oxy's behavior I will. I just don't need to interact with her regarding anything else which is fine by me. Ace://about blank 21:22, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
This interaction ban is a total joke. Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 21:33, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
That's one reason, among many others, why he should have been demodded in the first place, but none of you wanted that because Ace is apparently a saint and has never done anything wrong, he is a victim as much as Donald Trump is a victim of the left, cut-off that nonsense. So now, we have a mod who isn't allowed to commit to their moderation effectively. You voted for that Duce, you are the joke. MarioSuperstar77 (talk) 21:42, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
I think it would probably be best for everyone if we dropped the topic of that coop. Plutocow (talk) 21:43, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Sorry for posting after you collapse this, Puto. I just would like to ask to @MarioSuperstar77 to stop whining because Ace wasn't promoted. You'll end up getting IBanned with him yourself, and unlike in the Oxy's case, it will be 100% your fault. Comparing people with Trump is never civil. GeeJayK (talk) 21:51, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
@MarioSuperstar77 Hey fuck you man. I don't know what your problem is but off you fuck. Ace://about blank 21:56, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────[EC]I don’t think Ace has ever really interacted with MarioSuperstar, certainly nothing that would reasonably warrant this. You’re right, unless Mario stops this bizarre obsession an interaction ban feels inevitable. Christopher (talk) 21:58, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Chris, I made this to remind people not to vote for him in the next mod elections and vote against him in any future chicken coop. I didn't make this because Ace had harassed me, you said it yourself he never interacted with me before, but because he is malicious and he did harass Oxy, the interaction ban between him and her were warranted. Additionally, I was not talking to him, I was talking to Duce. MarioSuperstar77 (talk) 22:07, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
@MarioSuperstar77 I don't know why you are being such a dick but just fuck off man. You arrived and basically immediately started rattling off about how I was a shit person. So fuck you pal. Ace://about blank 22:09, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, there's a reason why I tried to collapse this. MarioSuperstar, there's nothing you can do right now about this and the best you can do is let Ace follow his interaction ban with Oxy. Ace, I understand why you are frustrated but I feel you saying "fuck you" isn't really helping the situation. Plutocow (talk) 22:11, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
You, repeatedly telling me to "fuck off" only proves that you are a "shit person". You are the biggest edgelord on this site. You are arguably as bad if not worse than Keemstar from Drama Alert when it comes to online discourses (With that said, you have yet to doxx or swat anyone like he did). You are equally as petulant as some teenager on a Youtube comment section or Reddit, eh perhaps you frequent r/okbuddyretard, that great subreddit with a totally wholesome userbase. MarioSuperstar77 (talk) 22:16, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
[EC x 2]It makes you look unhinged, most of the examples (especially the last one, what were you thinking?) are really clutching at straws. You’ve been here a few months, you couldn’t even vote in the latest coop, you’re not helping anyone here. Christopher (talk) 22:12, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
I would not have done that if he has been properly punished for acting like a complete douchebag. If he did this shit on my wiki he'd be permanently banned on-sight. MarioSuperstar77 (talk) 22:16, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Seems like you’re just trying to find a way to blame both sides and come across as the enlightened mediator Plutocow. Ace’s responses to Mario’s behaviour are entirely reasonable. Christopher (talk) 22:14, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Exactly right @Christopher. Someone comes on the site, is here a few months (compared to my 12 years of doing this shit) and starts following me around, making notes for his big case against me when the next mod elections come up. It's weird, stalkerish and completely unnecessary. So yeah - I'll tell that person to fuck off. Ace://about blank 22:19, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
While I agree that Ace not being elected in the next election would be a fantastic step forward for this website, I think Mario it would be a good idea to lay-off of Ace. You're bordering on harassing him at this point. ShabiDOO 22:25, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Why are you lecturing me when I did what he did to me, I commented on his talkpage. He did the same while dogpiling me with his friendos. I have not made any prior comment about this because I try not to be thin-skinned and I thought it was better not to raise any attention to this issue since it would immediately fire-up the bullies, but that behavior should not be tolerated, however, it is. I'm not very active these days I know. And I autopatrolled Mario for good early behaviour. And I'm friendly with Ace off wiki. So I have my biases. But seriously, @MarioSuperstar77 The mod elections are about 8 months away. No-one's going to remember this by then. Not even me, and I have a notoriously good memory for petty drama (if for nothing else). Ace doesn't do much moderating insofar as he does fomenting. So I don't really see why he would want to run for a mod, except to compromise his nemesis Oxyaena. But that's still neither here nor there for another 8 months, so lay it off. Please. Knight CommanderIn ServiceTo HerGoatness 02:15, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Hey man, if something comes up on the mod page I will look at it and do what’s needed. Moderation is rare and sometimes unnecessary. Ace://about blank 06:40, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

This whole war down there was only started because UninspiredUsername and DuceMoosolini couldn't shut the fuck up. Sorry I was busy yesterday. And yes, Ace can be IBANned like any other user. The blocks probably won't do much, but it is grounds for opening a case against him should he choose to violate it. That being said, I have full faith in Ace's ability to not interact with Oxy and vice versa. Those two can't stand each other so it should hopefully not be an issue. The message I posted is an informal template I wrote up ages ago when applying IBANs. Also MarioSuperstar you need to fucking chill out. Ace is still a mod, deal with it. The demodding failed by community consensus, witch hunting Ace will do little outside of causing you to be antagonized by the rest of the community. Anti-endorse him next election, I think you won't be the only one. Techpriest (I am Alpharius! / Pencil.png / Tux icon.png / Shield.png) 19:18, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Hang on - is Ken actually spamming my page saying Im "losing my power"? What 'power' am I losing? The power of a mod? Dear Ace, a hard truth[edit]

Ken.. I'm 40 years old. I have a young daughter, a wonderful girlfriend and a good job. There is nothing you can ever say that will make me feel like I'm some sort of failure because I might lose my admin rights in the next mod election. As an adult I have real concerns like, say, what's happening with interest rates on my investments, is my daughter doing well in school, should I sell my house as the market is strong at the moment. You know, adult stuff. Not "I might might lose my admin rights! People will think I have no machismo! My online reputation with be truly destroyed!". Dude, I actually have a life man. Ace://about blank 09:26, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

A job vs. passive income gained through self-employement. Also, my sweetheart is sweeter than yours![edit]

I am happy that you are able to support yourself during the pandemic with a job. Many are out of work. On the other hand, there is something better than a job. Passive income gained via self-employment! If you only had machismo, you would better understand this. While you have to report to your boss frequently, I am have no boss! As a self-employed person, I am the boss!

Also, my sweetheart is sweeter than yours! See: Atheism and love and Atheism and romance and Atheism and divorce

By the way Ace, self-employed people who enjoy their work live longer than people with a job.
And Ace, aren't you divorced? If she were a fantastically, sweet sweetheart, surely you would not have divorced the woman. And now you want me to believe that your current sweetheart is sweeter than my sweetheart? Ace, you wrote: "I just wrote about a paragraph about this but deleted it all. Ken ain't worth it. I have girlfrieds, a daughter and a good job and many RW editors I can say the same for. Happy, and getting on with life is what most of us do."

There is a person in my family who was the only boy born in his nuclear family, the rest were all girls. He loved teasing his sisters. That spread to the rest of his life and unfortunately "he could dish it out, but he could not take it". Ace, setting aside how many boys/girls there were in your family, you are exactly like this family member of mine! And you have a reputation for wanting to unnecessarily stir things up at this website and other websites.

So when I point out that your first marriage ended in divorce, point out that your excessive drinking may have caused problems in your romantic relationships and I taunt you with: self-employment with a residual income is better than a job and "my girlfriend is better than your girlfriend" all of the sudden taunting/"trash talking" is verbotten. In other words, you can dish it out, but you cannot take it.

At the same time, the Apostle Paul said to be at peace with all men, if possible. And there is the issue of opportunity cost. Recently, I had some big success helping a worthwhile website increase its monthly visitors by millions of visits a month. I am sure that website I helped is causing a lot of positive change as it is a worthwhile website.

At the end of the day, while I don't believe the purpose of life is happiness/enjoyment (which is hedonism), as far as time spent taunting you, surely I could be spending my time involved in more worthwhile activities than taunting you.Ceblimmo (talk) 00:23, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

that’s all well and good Ken. I guess I failed to mention the business I started with my cousin. Got a 13% share... but nonetheless - where is my long-hair.... fuck this. Ace://about blank 14:45, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
I think we should have a policy of detente from now on.
I am glad to hear your starting a business with your cousin. I hope it does well.
I just got off the phone with business person. The good news is I am going to make a very big chunk of money in about 12 months - like about $100,000+ off a one time transaction. The bad news is that for at least 12 months the person isn't going to be bringing me similar deals. The businessperson I am dealing with is a self-described atheist (who is really an agnostic) and we get along well.
In addition, it looks like I will be venturing into something where I will be talking to business people around the world dealing with high ticket transactions. It looks like the income potential is very high as its in a high demand field right now that is fairly new.
In the meantime, I am glad I have some residual income coming in from my past work. I am looking to build up my residual income from this line of work.
Again, best wishes on your new business. I recently heard from a strong business person that your top priorities in order of importance are: 1) Hire excellent people. 2) Generate a lot of sales. 3) OperationsFamesga (talk) 15:17, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
What is this "important website," anyway? If it is so notable, then surely Ken would have no qualms with disclosing its name. This affair reminds me of a tendency in chat rooms long ago, in which various characters would describe themselves as CEOs, self-employed millionaire playboys, socialites and members of high society, and various other careers and positions of import. Ken, either disclose the simplest of details, or admit your fraudulence! IveBeenFrank (talk) 16:01, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
Conservapedia was DDOSed several months ago. Awhile back, maybe about 10 years ago, I recall that various factions of atheists were DDOSing each others websites. Obviously, I don't want to cause grief for a website I helped. I did help them increase their website visits by millions a month. After the pandemic is over, I would like to help them double the increase that they recently saw. For various reasons, I would be better able to assist them once the pandemic is over.
Also, I just found out the standard industry payscale for the aforementioned one transaction deal I was doing in about a year where I would make $100,000+ is lower than I thought so I will make $50,000+ off the deal. That's still pretty good.
But the thing I am most excited about is increasing my residual income and also pursuing another opportunity where I will be contacting businesspersons around the globe concerning high dollar amount deals.
Next, there is a website that I helped in the past that will be coming into a lot of money that they will use to promote their website. They will be inheriting a whole lot of money relatively soon. At least I think it is soon. Their relative is a centarian, if memory serves. But I am not hoping for an old lady to die soon as that would be very unseemly. I hope she breaks the world record on longevity. I am so busy now, I couldn't do the work anyways. I have a few other websites that want my assistance as well. It's good not to have all your eggs in one basket.
I realize that "atheism and...." articles, "homosexuality and..." and articles on evolutionism are tremendously interesting topics to create content on and promote, but believe it or not, I will be promoting even more interesting content. Content that can create millions of page views a month! I am done wearing the ankle weights of promoting content on humdrum ideologies. I will soon be unchained! I recall having a biology teacher in high school with a monotone voice. Thank God he wasn't more interesting or I might be a professor of evolutionary biology now. But God saved me from that snare by smiting that public high school with a teacher of evolutionism who taught in a monotone voice!
After all is said and done, the excitement is raging - BIGLY! Very BIGLY!Yodeler (talk) 17:29, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
If your website has millions of views per month, it surely has a robust network or cloud vendor rendering its services, along with a team of designers. Dearest ShabiDoo,

If there is one thing that Jesus is horrified by it is your reading comprehension skills. If I were to net $50,000 on a business transaction that would not necesarily mean I earn a six-figure income for a year. ShabiDOO, let me guess, you attended public schools and did not attend private, Christian schools. I suggest reading the material on Admin Ace McWicked's talk page with greater due diligence!

I know it is hard for you to believe that people are able to make $50,000 on business transactions, but please broaden your horizons. You are a classic prisoner of a self-imposed bubble of limited possibilities in life. Business to business transactions can certainly be large at times. Please think more like a businessman and less like an employee! Mindset my man, mindset!

In about 12 months or so, God willing, much to the chagrin of an atheist who goes by the moniker of ShabiDOO, God will bless a humble, and lowly bondservant of His with a $50,000+ check. An the icing on the cake is it will be due to a transaction of mine with a self-proclaimed atheist (whose actually an agnostic). A pretty nice, self-proclaimed atheist woman who is very much unlike the atheists at RationalWiki! Yes, my atheist friends, God does have a sense of humor.

In addition, God is not made in your image, ShabiDOO. Stop making Him into a chap with poor reading skills who has self-limiting beliefs!

By the way, please tell Ace McWicked to stop incessantly bragging about a great job he supposedly has! Anything Ace can do I can do better with the beneficient grace of the Almighty and the good old fashioned Protestant work ethic (see: Atheism and sloth). If only God would enlighten Ace so he better understood the power of passive, residual income!

One last thing ShabiDOO. Since you are an expert on the Bible and who and who does not act like a Christian, I want to ask you a quick question. Have you ever read the Book of Joshua in the Bible? Yes? No? Psyche! There is no Book of Joshua in the Bible! Once again, as much as I hate to say it, on behalf of all Christendom, I declare victory! Olé! Olé! Olé!

Sincerely yours,

I've already said this, but I'll copypaste it here too:
$50,000, Ken? Only $50,000? That's pitiful. I personally know people who handle and make scores more, not yearly, but monthly. Your boasting impresses me little, and your cowardice and refusal to reveal the name of the site you supported disappoints me greatly. On second thought, I am not disappointed, as the Word has made it clear: see 1 Timothy 6:10, and reconsider your desires and celebrations. You may need to repent, to save your soul. Repent, or face eternal damnation!
In all honesty, your obsession on Ace reveals your puerile tit-for-tat attempts at ripostes. IveBeenFrank (talk) 19:52, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

Ace, evangelical Christianity (the archnemises of worldview of atheism) has a far, far, far, far higher growth rate than atheism. On top of this, evangelical Christianity is growing in the secular areas of the world - especially in China which is the heartland of atheism. Christianity is seeing explosive growth in China. The world saw peak atheism in 1970 which was 50 years ago. So every year since 1970 has been the VERY WORST YEAR FOR ATHEISM. The fall of the Soviet Union was a huge blow to atheism. Deal with it, Ace. You side of the aisle is losing badly - very badly!

The American sociologist and author Peter L. Berger introduced the concept of desecularization in 1999. According to Berger, "One can say with some confidence that modern Pentecostalism must be the fastest growing religion in human history."

The atheist author and advocate David Madison, PhD wrote in March 2019: "I remain haunted—and terrified—by what I read on a Christian website, not long after the turn of this century: that by 2025, there will be one billion (yes, that’s with a “b”) Pentecostals in the world." The Telegraph reported in 2012, "Mr Fu claimed the document also indicated "panic" among Chinese intellectuals about the "rapid" growth of [China's] underground Christian population"" Ace, your side of the aisle has many individuals shaking in their boots - utterly terrified and panicking.

And the very, very thick icing on the cake is that Christianity has a great abundance of evidence supporting it from multiple fields, while there is no proof and evidence for atheism.

Ace, you know your side is losing badly and its shaking like a bowl full of jelly before God's magnificent and victorious Christian army. Just admit it. Confession is good for the soul.

By the way, I noticed that you are talking less about that absolutely fabulous job of yours. God willing, next week I am recruiting a sales rep for a company whose average transaction size is $7 million to $15 million dollars. Christianity in China[edit]

China, the world's most atheist country, is becoming more Christian. There are 38 million Protestants and 200 million religious people in China (http://www.christianitydaily.com/articles/9891/20200924/the-growth-of-protestant-christianity-in-china-continues-to-increase-despite-communist-oversight.htm) and it will have more Christians than the U.S. by 2030 (https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/China-officially-atheist-could-have-more-12633079.php). Meanwhile in the US, the agonizing slow death of Christianity continues.Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 13:00, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

Bob, the USA has encountered a perfect storm for the prospering of American Christianity/religiousity in the future. It is truly glorious!

First, much to the dismay of American secular leftists, Donald J. Trump was elected who helped put 3 Supreme Court judges in the SCOTUS and many federal judges as well. And these Trump appointed judges believe in religious liberty under the law.

And the icing on this cake of American Christian/religious victory is Joe Biden believes in weak/open borders which will insure that many religious immigrants from Latin America will come into the USA. Hasta luego militant atheism in the USA!

Hallelujah, Señor Bob! ! Halleluja!
Bob, you're joking right?
The USA is on track to encounter 2 million illegal migrants largely from Latin America by the end of the fiscal year in 2021.[1] Hispanics tend to be religious. Hasta luego irreligion in the USA because religious immigration both legal and illegal will continue in the U.S. over the next 4 years at a brick pace under a Biden administration that believes in open/weak borders and the United States has a below replacement fertility rate so religious immigration will probably continue at a fairly high rate for the foreseeable future. The majority of immigrants to the USA are Christian according to the Pew Research Center.[2]
During the Biden administration border crisis, it is U.S. churches (not atheist organizations) that are welcoming these immigrants with open arms and providing them food and shelter.[3]
In their 2010 journal article entitled, Secularism, Fundamentalism or Catholicism? The Religious Composition of the United States to 2043 published in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, Eric Kaufmann, Vegard Skirbekk and Anne Goujon wrote: "The relatively low fertility of secular Americans and the religiosity of the immigrant inflow provide a countervailing force that will cause the secularization process within the total population to plateau before 2043. This represents an important theoretical point in that demography permits society to become more religious even as individuals tend to become less religious over time."[4]
While their is a dip in Americans going to church during the pandemic, history shows us that people tend to become more religious during pandemics and not less.

Join, the rest of the civilized world? Surely, you joking again.

The most prosperous and freest countries in the world are countries with a Protestant cultural legacy.

"So how would life be different if Christ had never been born?

The Christian Church has brought about more changes for the advancement and benefit of people than any force.

Before Christ, human life was cheap and expendable all over the world. Child sacrifice was a common phenomenon. Babies, particularly females — who were considered inferior — were abandoned.

In the 6th century Christian Byzantine Roman Emperor Justinian declared child abandonment and abortion a crime.

In the last 250 years with the advent of the Christian missionary movement, the lives of women have been greatly improved. Countless female infants abandoned in China were saved from almost sure death by Christian missionaries who then protected, educated and raised them in Christian orphanages.

In India, prior to Christian influence, elderly widows were burned alive on their husbands’ funeral pyres, while infanticide — particularly for girls — was practiced by tossing little ones into the sea.

In Africa, wives and concubines of tribal chieftains were routinely killed after the chieftain’s death. These practices were greatly reduced or ended as Christianity began to penetrate and influence the respective cultures.

Slavery is still practiced in parts of the Middle East and Africa, but it has been abolished throughout the Western world primarily due to leadership and influence of Christians.

The establishment of hospitals and universities, which began in the Middle Ages, were exclusively undertaken by Christians. The Christian Renaissance inspired more of the world’s greatest and most valuable art than any other period.

Campaigns for literacy and education for the masses that came several centuries later were also undertaken almost exclusively by Christians.

Methodist Frances Willard inspired millions of Americans to support women’s right to vote, which was enshrined in the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.

The civil rights movement was inspired and led by American Baptist minister Martin Luther King Jr.

Life around the world would be worse today if Christ had never been born and Christianity had not become the greatest spiritual force ever to advance the care and development of people."[5]

"If Jesus was never born, what a difference it would make in literature, music, and the arts. There would be no Messiah for Handel to write into his famous oratorio—no Christmas music at all. There would be no Pieta by Michelangelo, and no Last Supper by Leonardo. There would be no cathedrals in Europe, no Hagia Sophia or Notre Dame. There would be no Gospels and no New Testament, and therefore no story of the prodigal son, no parable of the good Samaritan, and no Sermon on the Mount. There would be no Divine Comedy by Dante, and no Paradise Lost by Milton.

If Jesus was never born, what a difference it would make in science and medicine. It was the Christian worldview—with its insistence on the rational order of the universe and man’s dominion over creation—that gave rise to modern science. Followers of Jesus Christ were also pioneers in the art of medicine. The first hospitals were established by Christians who believed they had a God-given responsibility to heal the sick.

If Jesus was never born, what a difference it would make in charity and the protection of life. It was the followers of Christ who first introduced the Roman world to disinterested benevolence, to helping someone who couldn’t help you in return. Pagans were amazed to see that Christians not only took care of their own needy people, but also provided for other people’s poor. It was also the followers of Christ who first abandoned the nearly universal practice of infanticide. The birth of Christ taught them to protect the lives of their own children, and to rescue foundlings and orphans.

Humanly speaking, none of this would have happened if Jesus was never born. What I have said so far is only just the beginning, of course, and it is also true that many wrong things have been done in the name of Christ—that is a topic for another occasion. But simply in terms of secular history, the life of Jesus Christ has had a far greater and more positive influence on the world than anyone else in history."[6]

Harvard University historian Niall Ferguson declared: "Through a mixture of hard work and thrift the Protestant societies of the North and West Atlantic achieved the most rapid economic growth in history."

The article The Surprising Discovery About Those Colonialist, Proselytizing Missionaries published in Christianity Today notes:

"In his fifth year of graduate school, Woodberry created a statistical model that could test the connection between missionary work and the health of nations. He and a few research assistants spent two years coding data and refining their methods. They hoped to compute the lasting effect of missionaries, on average, worldwide... One morning, in a windowless, dusty computer lab lit by fluorescent bulbs, Woodberry ran the first big test. After he finished prepping the statistical program on his computer, he clicked "Enter" and then leaned forward to read the results.

"I was shocked," says Woodberry. "It was like an atomic bomb. The impact of missions on global democracy was huge. I kept adding variables to the model—factors that people had been studying and writing about for the past 40 years—and they all got wiped out. It was amazing. I knew, then, I was on to something really important."

Woodberry already had historical proof that missionaries had educated women and the poor, promoted widespread printing, led nationalist movements that empowered ordinary citizens, and fueled other key elements of democracy. Now the statistics were backing it up: Missionaries weren't just part of the picture. They were central to it...

Areas where Protestant missionaries had a significant presence in the past are on average more economically developed today, with comparatively better health, lower infant mortality, lower corruption, greater literacy, higher educational attainment (especially for women), and more robust membership in nongovernmental associations.

In short: Want a blossoming democracy today? The solution is simple—if you have a time machine: Send a 19th-century missionary."[7]Ujjwol 21 (talk) 20:02, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

Actually no, I get the feeling that Ace all the time expects everyone to tolerate the way he does things and fuck off if they don't like it. Ace is describing himself when he critiques LGM (at least in that part of this rant of his). The idea that just because this site has always done something one way or something has always existed is sufficient reason to keep it or keep doing it is a pretty conservative and terrible way of dealing with things. From what I see, a majority of users here no longer want to tolerate more excessive pointless incivility and assholtry. So maybe you should just get used to it Ace and stop expecting everyone to keep things the way you want it. LGM is usually very sensible with what she says and your reactions are often appoplectic over-reactions full of nonsense. ShabiDOO
Reading is still a thing, you know.
LGM: This category is ripe for abuse!
Other people: wut?
LGM: I still don't like it!
Bongolian (!): People can call themselves sluts if they want.
LGM: But what if someone calls themself a nigger!
It's as dumb a three-step manoeuvre as I've seen this year, and the finish has a bizarre racial Godwin quality to it that almost beggars belief. Indeed, I defy you or anyone else to say similarly stupid stuff anywhere on the wiki without getting shouted at by someone. Helena Bonham Carter (talk) 18:37, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Sigh. "Slut" is a sexist epithet in most contexts in a similar way that word is a racist epithet, but both words have been co-opted and reclaimed by their usual targets so I was constructing an analogy, as flawed as it may appear, to try get people to take another approach, to reason here, so I can understand if they can maintain a consistent critique or criticize my analogy. It was an invitation for reasoning and I've posed the thing in good faith and toward Bongolian. Doesn't warrant that response. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 19:13, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Don't bother, Helena will never understand. They give no fuck at all about basic human courtesy. Two thirds, if memory serves. If you ask really nicely, though, I'll join your weird troll wiki thing and let you ban me just because. Helena Bonham Carter (talk) 20:44, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Step 1 (ripe for abuse) was nonsense, which I think (?) to your credit you acknowledged with the strikethrough. Step 2 (I don't like it) was perfectly solid ground and an obviously sincere statement of opinion. Step 3 was a bonkers non-sequitur, and also clearly self-defeating even if considered on the merits. Honestly, I would've probably exploded at you, too, at that point.

In case you're interested, the adulting version of this looks like: I-said-egregiously-dumb-stuff-and-got-shouted-at. This happens, and you'll never be short of company for that around here. I don't believe it's something you routinely do, though (again, if you're interested) taking an I-don't-like... and stretching it way further than it'll go, is something I've seen you do enough times over the years to make it worthy of comment here & now, and was one of the key reasons I was so anti the latter stages of your stint as mod.

This is about as patient and polite as I get. You're free to disagree with my analysis, of course, but it's my sincere belief that you have a real blind spot when it comes to distinguishing some of your personal preferences from genuine ethical / sociopolitical issues. Helena Bonham Carter (talk) 20:44, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

I understand. I'm sorry for invoking such a comparison though I'm only hoping people can understand my angle of an argument, how I arrived there even if it's flawed. I don't think it was a non sequitur though, even if it seemed like it came out of nowhere. I tried to come up with other epithets that people also try to self-claim, and that word was a prolific one. While I think I did a kneejerk at the category existence, I'm still not 100% comfortable with it (like I'd just tolerate it) and I've also considered the context around it: we deleted some older funspace pages such as Fun:Conservative hotties for what I feel is a similar reason and I was under probably incorrect impression that people won't really like that category either. That being said, I only hope you understand that I'm not upset that people don't agree with me here (only disliked how Ace commented on it and preferred how Bongolian approached and a bit of your current approach), I just wanted to test their position via analogy. If you have any suggestions on how to approach these situations different, please let me know. Thanks for showing some restraint for the post, I appreciate it. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 21:52, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
No worries. I suppose it's about accepting that people's mileages vary drastically on how persuasive they find I don't like this as an argument in any given situation, and also about recognising when IDLT is all you've got, and resisting the temptation to try & spin it up into something bigger if it's not having the desired impact. Stick with the sincere statement of opinion and let the chips fall where they may. Helena Bonham Carter (talk) 02:06, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
@Shabidoo I get the feeling that Ace all the time expects everyone to tolerate the way he does things and fuck off if they don't like it. That's a weird argument. You're basically saying something along the lines of I expect everyone to tolerate how I do things, but then I expect them to not tolerate it. Ace - claiming to be eccentric/theatrical is often a cover for being plain rude/abusive/just asking questions or stronger - especially when unnecessary 'bad language and insults' are involved. A light touch/sense of humour can work better. Anna Livia (talk) 11:23, 18 August 2021 (UTC)

That my sense of humour (possible hint there) is different to others - and my first sentence. Anna Livia (talk) 18:04, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
Everyone has different senses of humour - you know that right? For example I left a mutilated Barbie doll stabbed with a large knife to my friends front door to say thanks for a favour he did for me. Also your statement (if you want to call it that) is a form of my humour. Insulting, foul language and fucking direct - but I get a kick out of the theatrics. You should see me in real life if you think that's bad. You'd think I was unpopular but I have a very large social circle. Though in saying that I did get a telling off recently by a really close friend for slamming my fist on the table at a restaurant we were at and yelling for more tequila. Acegodfuckingdamnit 00:43, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
Having a large social circle means nothing. In my first year of university I was extremely popular, had loads of "friends" and parties and could count on meeting up with people whenever I wanted. Didn't mean I was actually very well liked, had quality friends or was genuinely happy (i.e. having fun vs. serious long term contentment) or that those people believed they could trust or depend on my or I could honestly depend on these people when I really needed serious help. ShabiDOO 11:57, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
Friends and friendships change at my age. I’d rather have no friends instead of room full low quality friends. Anyway, what’s your point? Acegodfuckingdamnit 19:42, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
Some of us give low priority to those who use #unnecessary# 'foul language' to extend their number of words used (rather than making a specific point, express a negative mood, make a joke or otherwise usefully) as a 'look-at-me' rather than 'theatrics.'
Otherwise, there are parts of the wikiverse which take priority over your talk page. Anna Livia (talk) 13:00, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

What is my point? Having a large social circle is not indicative of much on its own without further details. ShabiDOO 18:59, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

I do not recall ever suggesting you should not express an opinion about language use. Could you elaborate on this? I am super confused by your comment and your tone here. ShabiDOO 23:33, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

Go away you goddamned fucking weirdos. Jesus fucking wept. Now you're having a discussion about your own interactions in a section dedicated to the Ace Hate Mail bin. You may go now. Acegodfuckingdamnit 00:15, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
Shabidoo - you were speaking about people being threatened into silence - and my comment about my name was in response to that.
Ace - people do tend to respond to each other's comments on talk pages, and distinguish between comments about language use and you personally. Anna Livia (talk) 10:07, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
I'm still totally confused here. ShabiDOO 10:44, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
Me too. What the hell are you people still doing here? Go fucking home. Acegodfuckingdamnit 21:06, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
Ace - as you write fiction have you come across The Grand List of Overused Science Fiction Clichés (various places) and the Evil OVerlord Lists? Anna Livia (talk) 17:04, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Okay. I think I am just going to steer clear of you until you explain one day what on earth that was all about. ShabiDOO 17:42, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Jesus Fuck Anna, just plain fuck off. Christ... Acegodfuckingdamnit 20:58, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Here I am, making a friendly gesture and look at your response. Anna Livia (talk) 22:25, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
And here I am telling you to fuck off. I am happy with my response. Fuck off. Acegodfuckingdamnit 22:59, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Happy Birthday Buddy![edit]

Don't know what to give you, so I'll just give the well wishes for now. Knight CommanderIn ServiceTo HerGoatness 09:26, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

Cheers pal. It is now Monday and I am sitting in my office with the door closed so no one can see me fall asleep at my desk. Not a god look for the manager to be snoring on his desk while the underlings work away. Acei9 23:08, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
Anything special you're having? --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 23:18, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
Well, today is Monday and my birthday was Saturday. I polished off the better part of a bottle of cognac then went to a nightclub with a hot date. I left at 3am with said date while also pocketing the telephone numbers of two other woman I met that night. So I was successful. Though I did get into an argument with my sister and also a bouncer who didn't believe I was using my own vaccination details (in NZ you need proof of vaccination to enter a nightclub) so I had run back home in the rain to get my drivers license but my apartment is in the city so wasn't much trouble. Yesterday spent the day (mostly) in bed. Acei9 01:01, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Have a happy birthday dude. Oh yea, I'm late to the party. (Profile) - (Spoke!) 01:58, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Truce?[edit]

Honestly, I've been having these thoughts for quite a while, but your recent gripe about me on Andrew5's page has me decided: I'm going to come out and say it: I'm sorry about all this crap I'm saying about you and starting shit related to you. I feel we shouldn't really be "enemies" like this, it's so petty and it does take away from the community. At the time, I overreacted and such and was on high stress. I'm still feeling guilty about talking crap about you in Discord, still feeling regret about that even if it was years ago, since I felt you were less abrasive to me years ago and offered actual advice I did try to listen to. I'm still feeling guilty you have a negative opinion of me. However, I don't like this feeling of a grudge/resentment being held between both of us either. I tried to approach you on your birthday, but I was a too nervous to proceed any more, I just hope I at least showed I don't want this sort of conflict/grudge constantly going. Anyhow, I don't expect the apology to completely mend our butting heads; I do expect more disagreement between us on how this wiki should be run, but I just want to stop or alleviate this feeling of antagonism that other users take notice and might leave negative impressions on the whole thing, and I figure an apology for my behavior first is a good step. I'll try to reduce the amount of talk about people like this on Discord, but if there's anything in particular from me you want, just ask. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 07:50, 31 December 2021 (UTC)

I have no grudge or resentment. I’m in my 40s with a young daughter, an ex-wife, a couple girlfriends and a very hectic work schedule. Nothing about RW, and you in particular, causes me any grief whatsoever. So, sure, thanks. But it isn’t necessary. Acei9 03:36, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
I see. I don't know your personal life, so I have to go safe in. I know you don't let the thing consume you, but I don't want to make anything more unnecessarily unpleasant if I can help it. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 23:22, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
You’re fine dude. I’m laying in bed drinking fine red wine with a cigarette burning. My concerns are exactly zero. Don’t stress my man. Acei9 07:26, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

Stop[edit]

Fuck you. Trolling me aint gonna work. Acei9 03:10, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
