I think this would work best as a WIGO style series of loggings - unless anyone is volunteering to write up an essay on the subject. Insert Name Here 06:20, 18 January 2009 (EST)
- Go for it, I'll be glad to contribute. A caveat--try to focus on 1. racist edits that have been sitting around for a while unchanged; 2. new edits by established editors. You don't want to start cataloguing drive by/troll/parody edits. And just a list is one thing; better to flesh it out to explore some of the links between American racism and fundamentalist Christian conservatism, using CP as a case study... finally, I'm not comfortable with the idea that TK is "connecting the CDC's dots for them." The CDC isn't drawing any dots, they're talking about a public health issue facing a particular population. The dots are all in TK's warped little mind...TheoryOfPractice 08:48, 18 January 2009 (EST)
- Well, this isn't my pet page, anyone can contribute - I'm not watching CP 24/7 so I'm bound to miss stuff. I'll try to change the CDC phrasing - that was just the first thing I thought of while trying to get the thing done. I agree it looks crap. List? - let's start with a list for now, and then write it up when there's enough to analyse. There's only 2 examples which isn't really a lot to hang a rounded article on. - TerryH doesn't like multiculturalism. (It should be noted that at the time nothing was known about the murderer except that he was black and, of course, a murderer.)
- Ed approvingly links to a racist (and conspiracy theorist) rant. In his defense, he probably hadn't read it.
