Amendment 28 (New Equal Rights Amendment)[edit]
(Straight up stealing (with modification) the text of the Equal rights amendment) Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex, gender, and sexual/romantic orientation (or lack thereof).
Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
Amendment 29 (Pot Amendment)[edit]
Section 1. Within an amount considered safe by medical authority, Marijuana will be legal to grow and use by persons 21 and over.
Section 2. Congress shall be able to pass laws regulating and taxing the usage of Marijuana so long as it does not violate section 1.
Amendment 30 (Citizens United Amendment)[edit]
(Straight up stealing from Sanders here) SECTION 1. Whereas the right to vote in public elections belongs only to natural persons as citizens of the United States, so shall the ability to make contributions and expenditures to influence the outcome of public elections belong only to natural persons in accordance with this Article.
SECTION 2. Nothing in this Constitution shall be construed to restrict the power of Congress and the States to protect the integrity and fairness of the electoral process, limit the corrupting influence of private wealth in public elections, and guarantee the dependence of elected officials on the people alone by taking actions which may include the establishment of systems of public financing for elections, the imposition of requirements to ensure the disclosure of contributions and expenditures made to influence the outcome of a public election by candidates, individuals, and associations of individuals, and the imposition of content neutra limitations on all such contributions and expenditures.
Amendment 31 (Election/Government Reform Presidency)[edit]
Section 1. Presidential Election will take place through a popular vote, abolishing the electoral college.
Section 2. The office of the president will be filled for 6 years, once renewable.
Section 3. In the event major electoral fraud takes place, a new election shall be called. In the event of a verified tie in a Presidential race, the Senate shall vote between the tied Candidates.
Section 4. The Presidency, being a singular national office, will be based solely on which which candidate, through instant-runoff, gets the majority.
Section 5. In the event of a vacancy within the first 4 years of a term, a new election shall be held to fill the remaining term. In the event of a vacancy in the last 2, the office of president will be filled as follows: Vice President, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, President pro tempore of the Senate.
Section 6. The position of President shall primarily be to Govern the foreign and military concerns of the nation, although they may, through the Speaker of the House, direct the domestic policy of the nation.
Section 7. The 12th and 23rd amendments are repealed.
Section 8. The Council of the president shall consist of those departments which relate to the duties of the Presidency.
Amendment 32 (Election/Government Reform Legislature)[edit]
Section 1. The house of representatives and Senate shall serve for 3 year terms, the house being shed every election and the senate via 1/3 of its members every election.
Section 2. In the event major electoral fraud takes place, a new election shall be called. In a verified tie in any other election than president, a new election shall be held between the tied candidates.
Section 3. Recognizing that First Past the Post inherently forces a two-party system and leaves only the winning opinion represented (regardless of percentage), Electoral results for national, state and when applicable local office will be decided via instant-runoff, mixed-member proportional representation.
Section 4. Citizens are guaranteed the right to secret ballots, one vote to one person, and absentee balloting.
Section 5. No agency, organization or group other than those selected to count votes may decide the outcome of an election, results come from properly tallied Ballots.
Section 6. Attempts to influence the outcome of elections or disenfranchise voters via gerrymandering will be considered grounds for imprisonment up to ten years, a $100,000 fine, and the inability to run for public office.
Section 7. To enforce the above, an independent body will be established to review election borders.
Section 8. Representatives shall serve 3 terms at most in office, senators may serve no defined number.
Amendment 33 (Election/Government Reform Speaker of the House)[edit]
Section 1. The leader of the party in the house of representatives with the majority or whichever may form a coalition of parties, shall be appointed by the president as Speaker of the House.
Section 2. The position of speaker of the house shall direct the domestic and economic policies of the nation.
Section 3. The speaker of the house may be removed from this position either through a motion of no confidence by the House or by the President through a 2/3 majority of the House.
Section 4. The Cabinet shall be formed by the speaker of the house, besides those that follow the prerogative of the President.
Amendment 34 (Non-state Equality Amendment)[edit]
Section 1. The District of Columbia will be able to hold elections for Senators and Representatives in numbers as would be given to it were it a state.
Section 2. The territories of the United States, though still without voting congressional representation, will be able to vote in Presidential elections.
Section 3. In recognizing that a territory is inherently a lesser level than a State, every 10 years Congress must hold referendums in existing Territories to become States, join an existing state, declare independence or maintain the status of a Territory.
Section 4. Due to the nature of the acquisition of Hawaii, within 5 years of this amendment passing a legally binding referendum on independence will be held to allow the state the right to affirm or undo the forced nature of it's history.
Amendment 35 (Economic Rights and Economic Intervention)[edit]
Section 1. The federal government must establish a Livable Wage for all workers. Said wage can be established at a Gradual pace not exceeding 5 years.
Section 2. The federal government can control prices so that the aforementioned wage raising will not be invalidated by price changes. (No more Raise the minimum wage = Prices go up, making the new minimum wage in effect worthless)
Section 3. The federal government shall have the power to intervene in corporations which place money and economics over social, civic and enviromental responsibility.
Section 4. The federal government will enforce responsible environmental regulations of Corporations domestic and foreign that operate in America.
Section 5. Unions shall be allowed to form and negotiate fair contracts between the employer and the employee. Workers shall have the right to strike. Workers shall have the right to fair employee management. Employers may not discriminate or discourage the formation of unions.
Amendment 36 (The Saudi Arabia Amendment)[edit]
Section 1. The United States shall be unable to enter into treaties, alliances, or militarily or monetarily provide, aid, support, or assistance to Saudi Arabia, until such time as it a) reforms and allows fair and democratic elections b) recognizes and allows equality for all races, genders, creeds, and orientations c) Ceases to support and export Wahhabi and Salafi Islamic ideology through the direct or indirect funding of militant groups of any kind that profess the goal of establishing Sharia law.
Section 2. Trade relations may continue, but under annual review and restriction by Congress until Section 1 no longer applies.
Amendment 37 (Health Care)[edit]
Section 1. All citizens of the United States are entitled to basic healthcare such as is necessary for them to live full and productive lives.
Section 2. Health insurance shall be provided directly by the federal government and available to all citizens of the United States.
Section 3. Private health insurance shall not be eliminated or changed by this amendment, but shall remain as an optional supplement to public insurance.
Amendment 38 (Education)[edit]
Section 1. All citizens of the United States are entitled to education such as is necessary for them to live full and productive lives.
Section 2. Mandatory education shall be required for all citizens under 18, and high-level university education shall be offered free of charge for up to 8 years.
Section 3. Secondary schools shall offer career path options specialized to the student's desired occupation. Specialized vocational schools and courses shall be offered free of charge to anyone who is unemployed, or between the ages of 12 and 22.
