Summary

Description
English: This map shows various dialects of the Kamarupic sub group of Bengali-Assamese language branch of Indo-European languages. These dialects are modern descendants of Kamarupi Prakrit. The descendants are divided into two groups: Eastern and Western. There's an intermediate variation which is shown in the map. The Eastern group includes Assamese and the Western group includes Kamta lects, Surjapuriya, Rajbansi (Nepal) etc.
