Español: Reinundación del Mediterráneo por aguas atlánticas que puso fin a la Crisis Salina Mesiniense hace 5,3 millones de años. La entrada de agua se produjo a través del estrecho de Gibraltar (A) y al colmatar la cuenca mediterránea occidental pasó a inundar la oriental, probablemente a través del actual estrecho de Sicilia (F).

English: Re-flooding of the Mediterranean by Atlantic waters that ended the Messinian salinity crisis 5.3 million years ago (Zanclean flood). Water intrusion occurred across the Strait of Gibraltar (A) and clog the western Mediterranean basin flooded eastern, probably through the current Strait of Sicily (F).
