Wanting to start an article: Noosphere woo, or at least, the global village myth still is a generalized misconception, that the progress in global telecommunications should create a global community of ideas, where the creative potential of the human race as a whole and of the each individual as a person, would be expanded beyond any known maximum. In fact, most modern ideologies or modern renditions of millenarian beliefs can be grossly defined as divergent sects from this myth, for most that some of them claim that they have irreconcilable aims. The emergence of a Rule 34 and political flaming gobbled over Internet, and also the factors of digital exclusion and digital incompetence, could not be forecasted or were grossly underestimated by most sci-fi writers and futurologists from the past decades. Despite this, movements claiming that the revolution should spread through Internet after having been defeated in the current world, still somewhat mantain the myth alive, giving it a certain kind of revival.
