Fun talk:X
From RationalWiki
Technically speaking, isn't X more like the third Roman numeral? --AKjeldsen 17:10, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
- Interesting...im not sure of the terminology here, but cardinally speaking, I is first, V is second, X is third, however, X=10. What a freakin conundrum.--PalMD-yada yada 17:36, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
- If it wasn't for this incredibly important article creation drive, we would never have uncovered this.--PalMD-yada yada 17:36, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
- Indeed. Thank goodness for that. Now, as far as I know - and that is, admittedly, not very far at all - a numeral is a symbol that represents a number, which is the immanent mathematical idea-thingy itself. Hence, in the Roman numeral system, X is the third numeral, which represents the number 10. I think. --AKjeldsen 17:43, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
