You know you're in trouble when your article starts this way: "According to this Facebook post on the thyroid disease awareness Facebook page, the Marshall Protocol believes that Vitamin D deficiency doesn't cause disease, it's a side effect of disease…"
Let's review: 1. You are citing a Facebook page!
2. How can a protocol "believe" anything?
3. Your sarcasm notwithstanding, this explanation has become much more widespread since being published in the literature (i.e. not Facebook) eight or so years ago. For example, check out this August statement to BMJ: http://www.bmj.com/content/345/bmj.e4695/rr/597916
Not every article here can be "Best of RationalWiki" but you could be a little less sloppy.
