Description
This template facilitates creating a fair use media rationale with the necessary components.
Note that fair use images also require pointing out the source and author, which can be easily done with Template:Information.
Syntax
{{Fair use | username = <!-- Your user name --> | title = <!-- The title of the article you want to use the image --> | deceased = <!-- Enter "yes" if the image is a person and they are deceased. Adds, "The subject of the photograph is deceased, therefore a "new" image can not be created of this person." --> | low resolution = <!-- Enter "yes" if the image is of low resolution --> | other = <!-- Add more information to help justify the images FAIR USE --> }}
Example
{{Fair use | username = SusanG | title = User:SusanG | deceased = | low resolution = yes | other = * The screenshot does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the book in any way. * The screenshot is related to, and is intended to represent, the Story of SusanG's boring life. Its inclusion in the article is important because it represents a significant point in the person's career that is overviewed in the article. Additionally, the image helps to illustrate the circumstances surrounding the incident. * The screenshot is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original book in any way. }}
