Template:Reflist/doc
Usage
Use this template to create a more flexible reference list. When a normal list is more appropriate on an article, use <references/> instead.
If used with no parameters, it will produce a reference list with a single column.
Multiple columns
Using {{reflist|2}} will create a two-column reference list, and {{reflist|3}} will create a three-column list. Three-column lists are inaccessible to users with smaller/laptop monitors and should be avoided.
Using {{reflist|colwidth=30em}} will allow the browser to automatically choose the number of columns based on the width of the browser window. Choose a column width that's appropriate for the average width of the references on the page.
Note: multiple columns render properly in Firefox (and other Gecko-based browsers), Webkit-based browsers (Chrome, Safari etc.), Opera 11.1 or later, and Internet Explorer 10. Other browsers will display a single column.
See Wikipedia for more details.
Font size
When using more than one column, you can set the font size of the entire list with the second parameter: For example, use {{reflist|2|80%}} to get a two-column list with a size of 80%.
Groups
To use this template with a specific group of references (see here), simply use {{reflist|group="groupname"}} along with any other parameters you may need.
