Template talk:Rome
I add this template & series because I think a lot of the Roman stuff has some particular relevancy for RW; the historiography and idolization of Rome has given rise to a lot of pseudo-crap-history, much like the article on CP that blames the fall of Rome on the gays :-/ -αmεσ (spy) 18:47, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
- Amusingly, Gibbon blamed the fall of the Empire just as much on Christianity as he did on the lack of "manliness" among the Romans. CP seems to have forgotten that small detail. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 18:58, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
Put it into the Roman Empire article; I was about to do that myself.-αmεσ (spy) 18:59, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
- No, go ahead, I'm logging off for the night in a minute. But there's a lot to work with here - the CP article reads like someone took the worst of Gibbon and Suetonius, slapped it together, then made it even worse. :/ --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 19:11, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
Mission[edit]
While RW's "mission" stays the same, its now more open to science and historical articles. Therefore if we want a template to navigate an important point in history (and how it relates to current affairs, perhaps) we should keep it. ArmondikoVpathetic 09:05, 23 January 2009 (EST)
- As long as the articles it appears on remain, there's no reason to target the template with mission doubts. ΨΣΔξΣΓΩΙÐ

- Yeah, so let's delete the articles as well. This template just doesn't fit. ħuman
