Note: This debunking is specifically for this version of the Clinton body count list. Although several versions exist, this seems to be the most widely-circulated one.

Suzanne Coleman, age 26

Died: February 15, 1977

Cause of death: Suicide (gunshot to back of head)

Claim: Had affair with Clinton when he was attorney general of Arkansas. Died of "suicide" with gunshot wound to the back of her head. No autopsy allowed. Was 7 months pregnant at time of her death. She had told friends it was Bill Clinton's child.

Analysis: For starters, her name was Susan Coleman, not Suzanne. At the time of her suicide, Bill Clinton was her law professor at the University of Arkansas. In 1992, an anonymous letter was sent to various news organizations alleging that Coleman's suicide was related to an affair with Clinton, and that she was pregnant with his child.

In response, conservative author Floyd Brown attempted to investigate Coleman's death with the intent of proving her affair with Clinton, to the point of stalking and harassing Coleman's family. However, Coleman's family denied these allegations, and reporters discovered the letter to be a hoax.[1][2][3] Additionally, the only sources alleging that she died of a gunshot to the back of the head or that an autopsy wasn't allowed are conspiracy sites, which provide no evidence of their claims.

Verdict: False

Judi Gibbs, age 32

Died: January 3, 1986

Cause of death: House fire

Claim: Penthouse model, and call girl. Judi Gibbs (along with her sister Sharon) appeared in the December 1979 issue of Penthouse, and later worked at a bordello in Fordyce, near Mena, Arkansas which also ran a blackmail operation with photos taken of the customers with their girls. According to the Gibbs family, Bill Clinton was a regular customer of Judi, and there were photos of him having sex with her that threatened his Presidential campaign! While cooperating with law enforcement in a drug investigation, Judi died when her house burned down.

No cause for the fire was found. Judi had called the fire department to report the fire, but her body was found on the floor in front of a ground floor window, near a door that would have allowed her escape. In a sworn statement, Clinton bodyguard Barry Spivey related how he had been with the governor when the governor's plane had flown over Judi Gibbs' house and Clinton had shown Judi's penthouse photos on the plane and pointed out the house.

Analysis: For starters, there isn't any evidence of Gibbs having an affair with Clinton other than unsubstantiated rumors. Although Judi's older sister Martha believes Clinton was responsible for the fire,[4] she admitted she had no proof of this.

Verdict: Unproven

Barry Seal, age 46

Died: February 19, 1986

Cause of death: Murder (drive-by shooting)

Claim: CIA drug pilot. Now known to have been a gun and drug smuggler for the CIA, operating out of the Mena airport, Barry Seal had reportedly kept in contact with Bill Clinton's head of security at the governor's mansion, Raymond "Buddy" Young, the ex-rodeo clown who is now the number 2 man at FEMA.

Following his fall from CIA grace, Barry was sentenced to live at a Salvation Army Housing Complex by a judge who also prohibited Barry Seal to either have any guns or employ any bodyguards. Corruption doesn't become any more obvious than this. Barry was gunned down with machine gun fire in the parking lot of the Salvation Army Housing Complex.

In violation of the court order, Barry had hired bodyguards who worked a rotation schedule. But the bodyguard who was to be there when Barry was killed never showed up.

Analysis: Although conspiracy sites make it sound like Seal was killed by mysterious, unknown assailants, his killers are actually very well-known.[5] It should really come as no surprise that a DEA informant-turned-drug smuggler was killed by a drug cartel.

Additionally, while it is true that a judge told Seal he was not allowed to hire bodyguards,[6] I can't find any evidence that Seal disobeyed the court order, or that the bodyguard didn't show up on the day he was murdered.

Verdict: False
