True story: me and Conservapedia.

I stumbled across Conservapedia a while ago. Some of the articles I saw there seemed a little "tacked together," as my English professor would say (well, actually, as my English T.A. would say -- the professor is too liberal to care), so the other day I created an account and started trying to fix some of them.

Somebody made an edit to the template box that lists all the liberal characteristics. Same problem with those articles. I started streamlining them and trying to remove the wordiness. Everything was going along well. But then I found that not only had my account been blocked for life, but my entire university and ISP were banned from editing the site -- not even a warning. I had apparently removed something they didn't like, but I couldn't tell what, because all my edits had been reverted. The reason was "Member of a website supporting vandalism."

Naturally I tried to find out what that "website supporting vandalism" was. Finally I thought to peck the phrase into Google, and as it turned out there were only three hits.

I don't like most of what you're doing here, so I probably won't contribute, but I figure if my whole university is going to be thrown out from Conservapedia because I was supposed to be a member of this site, I might as well actually be a member. Insights into how exactly I got up their nose would be appreciated.
