Hello, I am here out of interest in the concept of this wiki's mission to refute pseudoscience and look at grand narratives critically. Although I like the general principle, I find the portrayal of some large institutions, especially religious ones, as overly negative. Thus, while I haven't yet determined my main goals, I'd like to focus on:

  • The Roman Catholic Church and concepts and organizations related to it
  • The Islamic world and potential oversimplification thereof
  • The United Nations and international organizations in general

So far, my work focuses on deleting particularly extreme sentences, requesting citations for unclear aspects, and providing citations where requested for the good work done by these groups.

I'm open to work with anyone who needs help for practically anything, though I might not be helpful in providing sufficient snark to the article. Things I like to think I know a decent amount about are:

  • European history(particularly how countries came to be, how certain large cultural trends developed, how government and nonprofit institutions developed, etc.)
  • Christian denominations: How they came about in terms of doctrinal/theological differences, their ecclesiastical polity(church structure), and varying knowledge of their institutional history and founders. In addition to Roman Catholicism, I am particularly familiar with the Churches of Scotland, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden and England, as well as the general denominations of Presbyterianism(stemming from the Church of Scotland) Lutheranism and Anglicanism/Episcopalianism, but much less so with Eastern & Oriental Orthodoxy.
