Collaberating with Republican Senator John McCain, who is also seeking his parties nommination, each has pledged that if they receive their parties nomination for president, and the opposer acquieces, they will limit their campaign finaces to $85 million, returning all other private donations. This has been widely stated as evidence of the two esteemed congressman trying to bring civility back into the realm of poltics and assuage partisan tensions. Others have gone farther to say that such impeccable moral character is just one of the many qualties that shows that Barack Obama, for the good of America and, indeed, the world, should be the next President of the United States. Barack Obama is a half-African, half-Caucasian Democratic senator from Illinois, elected to the United States Senate in 2004 after serving as a state senator. His voting record places him as the tenth-most Liberal member of the U. S. Senate. His composite liberal rating was 86 percent, just seven points behind Ted Kennedy. Among fellow Senate Democrats, he was further left than liberals like John Kerry, Dianne Feinstein, Charles Schumer, Russ Feingold, Carl Levin, Joseph Biden and Harry Reid.[1] Senator Obama is a Democratic front-runner for the 2008 United States presidential election. He has been criticized as being politically inexperienced, although he has retorted showing that some of the greatest presidents in American history were criticized for the same reason.
