I want to write a critical essay to denounce the dominant economic model that justifies an economic system that is designed to exploit society instead of serving it.
In last half century this system got even more sociopathic by becoming a finance-driven enterprise--finance exploiting the economy which in turn exploits society.
Three source books will guide the construction of the essay:
A harsh doctrine?[edit]
People get the society they deserve[edit]
This is, in effect, what Etienne de la Boetie argued 500 years ago.
Voluntary servitude
Why do people choose to be under a master? I think that life seems to be simpler if decisions and the responsibility for consequences is taken by other people.
In other words, freedom has the drawback of coming with responsibility For the choices we are free to make. This is the thorny problem of real democracy. We rather have MPs representing us than mandating them to carry out policies we, as free agent together have originated.
