RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Donations so far: $3220Goal: $6000

New logo large.png Meh. You signing up for a RationalWiki account doesn't really move us one way or the other, Pensees.

This is probably because we're getting bored of lame attempts at trolling our site and/or obvious sockpuppetry. Maybe you should try mixing things up a little or try taking a walk outside.

We realize that it is possible that you think your activity here is really important, so we'll do our best to tolerate it. But don't expect us to get too excited.

Our Newcomers' Guide may help clarify things for you.

Pascal[edit]

Funny you should mention that. I read Pensées in AP French class in high school, and haven't looked back since. RationalWiki has an article on Pascal's wager, you know. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 02:29, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

The entire thing? Pascal's wager isn't the only thing in the whole argument. — Unsigned, by: Pensees / talk / contribs

The entire thing, in French. Thank goodness I've forgotten most of it.

On talk pages, please sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the sign button: SigButt.png on the toolbar above the edit panel. You can also indent successive talk page comments using one more colon (:) for each line. Thank you. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 02:35, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

I'm guessing it was not very convincing if you don't even remember it.--Pensees (talk) 02:41, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Of all the things I read that year, the Rabelais seems to have stuck around the best. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 02:51, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
