Cool idea[edit]

Machiavelli was an interesting dude! He's been much misunderstood as some type of cynic as well...

Regardless, let me just point out one minor detail — we generally don't list dates of birth/death, just years.

I think it ties into the fact that we're not even trying to be an encyclopedia, so limiting ourselves to just years is a way of saying "Don't get stuck on details here — go to TOW for that". All the best, Reverend Black Percy (talk) 13:15, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Gotcha. I'll keep that in mind while editing Anim (Carfa) 13:20, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Two excellent videos to embed, or to just quote from![edit]

Love the School of Life. The God man speaking is the brilliant Alain de BottonWikipedia's W.svg, in case you want to make cquotes out of something he says in the video(s). And no matter how much you already know about Machiavelli, give both of these short videos a spin! Maybe they'll inspire you further. I've seen these before! Phenomenal group and he really does have the voice of a god. Heidegger was great (and so was Heidegger in the Kitchen).Anim (Carfa) 13:40, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

I don't think we generally add mainspace categories (historians, authors, smooth talking bastards, philosophers) to user pages and subpages, I'm hesitant to remove them as it's in userspace so I'm just letting you know. Christopher (talk) 15:16, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

I had copied and pasted from the current Machiavelli article to start and hadn't touched those yet. I'll remove them. Anim (Carfa) 15:19, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

Editing the sandbox[edit]

Other people are welcome to help, by the way. I don't mind you editing the sandbox. Anim (Carfa) 12:22, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
