- Here's the long answer since I talk too much and I'm having a lot of fun.
- Roobot scrapes an up to the minute blacklist of about 8k unique (out of 35k+ listings) working web and IP-based proxies from a few large proxy sites. All of the IPs Brasov managed to edit from were in Roobot's list, though obviously not in the WikiMedia list the abuse filter consults. Roobot then polls the API every few seconds looking for IP edits from blacklisted IPs, blocks them according to whatever defaults the operator sets, and rolls back their edits. When he's fully implemented, he'll accept instructions by email from a few whitelisted users.
- He'll also eventually make it possible for anyone to gather large amounts of the kinds of interesting data Larron and Blue use to generate graphs by accepting simply formatted queries by email that he runs through the API and then emails back results.
- It's basically jut a coding project to better learn exception handling and how to automate the execution of a variety of scripts in multiple processor threads. That's why I haven't stopped since Trent made most of it pointless by implementing ReCaptchas for anonymous editors. 18:56, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
