Third paragraph: "This suggests"
Third paragraph: "surprise/salience model of the DA signal"
First paragraph: Up to you, but some view data as only plural, while some view it as both singular and plural. If you view it as plural, it should be "for cell recording data that show the firing rate..."
Unrelated to proofreading: I don't completely understand this, but it is it possible that DA is both the conveyor of surprise/salience and part of a system that conveys the reward prediction error?
Third paragraph: First sentence: both commas are probably unneccesary, but not quite sure what you are trying to say. Also, did the rats during the other trial receive Quinpirole a long time ago but the Quinpirole wore off and now they are basically Quinpirole free? Or did the rats never recieve Quinpirole? Not quite sure what you mean.
Third paragraph: What do you mean when you say that it dropped off, and then did not decrease. Wouldn't it presumably not decrease if it had already dropped off? Or did it drop to a level where there was still the significant chance to decrease?
- This is an alarmingly complex essay that I can only barely understand from having only briefly skimmed over Cognitve Science for the last 3 months, and I will say that it serves for a nice read. Might I ask, however, who was the person who discovered DA? Javasca₧ why me?
- I agree with most or all of the comments made above. Otherwise, it's pretty, um, literate for you, dude :) ħuman 01:19, 25 November 2008 (EST)
