Have you read Banning's analysis? Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 16:13, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

I actually have, and it seems as "grasping at straws" as anyone can get. You don't make living structures so full of ornimental crap, that you can't live in them. No food has been found, no bones of dinners (settlements almost universally have some kind of waste dump area - which may yet to be found). While it's possible there are settelments around, the 5 more fully excavated circular rooms, (which were intentionally reburried at some unknown time in the future, by the way), would not make reasonable living spaces at all. Stones on which herbs have been found (drugs? it's likely...) have no grease or indications of blood or flesh that would indicate they were also used for food. Now, what religion this may or may not be (the best woo suggests this was the biblical Eden), who knows. but these were ritual sites, not routine living quarters. And again, I'm with Banning that we may yet find settlements, so the "pre-settelment era" may not be true, but I've seen extensive pictures of the T's, and carvings. this is not a stone age version of Thomas Kinkade.
