  1. I decided to temporarily ignore the horrible look of this page and read its contents. And I found them a bit pointless. We've got some good but fairly basic advice about looking for reliable sources. And we've got three examples of some of the millions of things that are wrong on the internet. Besides which, nobody really believes everything on the internet is true. That would mean having to believe lots of contradictory things, like having to believe that God exists and that God doesn't exist at the same time. Some of the contents of this page just might find a home in other articles. But really, if you want to share something stupid that you read on Facebook, do it in the Saloon Bar. 2. Balete. Let it be re-made in essay space — if it has to be — by the creator. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 09:55, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
  3. It's an essay, not an article. Move to essay space or delete. Same goes for "If it is not on the internet, it can't be true". WěǎšěǐǒǐďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 18:27, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
  4. Maybe the "What can you do about this" section is worth revising and adding to some appropriate other mainspace page, but then again it all could just live in essay space. Not like this site is lacking coverage of critical reasoning. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ B) talk 19:07, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
  5. Agree, move it to essay space if it is to be kept. Bongolian (talk) 20:10, 30 August 2016 (UTC) Also move If it is not on the internet, it can't be true to essay space. Bongolian (talk) 20:13, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

  1. I am the author. I feel this page is needed because there are actually many people out there who actually believe idiocy such as "the Queen is a lizard woman" and "the Earth is flat". I feel it would be helpful to point them towards something that is informative and satirical to show them how foolish they are. There is a similar article on the uncyclopedia, but that article is a little too heavy in satire and does not contain any advice on how to handle those who claim the ridiculous.
I will apologise for the format, I am not the best in the world at typing, but I have put in the effort and done my best. If you feel that more examples should be added, please add them. If you feel the format can be improved, then I will make an attempt, but would be happy for others to try. This was my first attempt at anything like this. — Unsigned, by: Rich1 / talk / contribs
A major part of the mission of this site is refuting idiocy like that But, like I said, there are millions of things that are wrong on the internet. if you tried to list them all on one page, the page would soon take too long to load and would become impossible to edit as a result. It's also too broad a topic. Pages here should be more specific. And don't use Uncyclopedia as a model. Spud (talk) 12:33, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

I did note it. Badly formatted again. But I think it has potential. Spud (talk) 12:33, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
