2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

The Holocaust Industry[edit]

Just yesterday I've started reading The Holocaust Industry, by Norman Finkelstein. Worth an article? Maybe someone else can do the heavy lifting and I can make a few edits and take all the credit? Sounds good?--brxbrx-brxbrx 23:39, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

I think I'm almost finished with chapter 2. Man, Norman Finkelstein really does not like Eli Wiesel.--brxbrx-brxbrx 04:07, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
I read a few chapters of it a long, long time ago. If I remember correctly, it makes some good points but flies off the rails by setting up the worst offenders as strawmen -- sort of like writing a criticism of Andrea Dworkin and then going, "See, this is why feminism is evil." I think Ruth Kluger's criticisms of "museum culture" were much more even-handed. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 04:24, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
