I adapted Trent's proposal - does this seem to everybody like a pretty summation?--ADtalkModerator 02:05, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Nice work. Really nice work. P-FosterCan't we talk about this, baby?Moderator 02:11, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
It's a start. A vague start that raises more questions than it answers, but it's a start. You guys need to sit down in the next day or two and hash out concrete rules for how you operate. ThunderkatzHo! 02:18, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
That's fair enough, although a lot of the point is not to get bogged down in process. But we should have stronger guidance - we don't want capriciousness.--ADtalkModerator 02:23, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
(EC) I understand the point about getting bogged down, but my worry is that you're going to get to your first case, and one mod will say that the mods should decide this case, and the next mod will say the mob should vote as the mods just oversee the vote process, and another mod will say that this doesn't even need mod supervision, and you guys aren't going to know what to do. Or one mod will lock a page, and another mod will think that's unnecessary and unlock it, and then you've just got wheelwarring between mods trying to prevent wheelwarring. You guys need structure before you can give the community structure. ThunderkatzHo! 02:33, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Good point. Currently there are three mod-related pages. This one, your new one, and the project page. I think we should redirect mine and the project page to your new one, so that guidelines and discussion will be centralized and easy to find. Then we can start talking about substantive things.--ADtalkModerator 02:31, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Here's a place for mods to moderate, and the community to chime in. If we are, as TK Thunderkaz says, to get more concrete, that might be a better place than a category page. That said, I only wanted to set up an infrastructure. For substantial discussion, let's wait 'til all the mods know they're mods. Done. Clicking the icon in a mod's sig now brings them to a description page, whose talk page redirects to All Things' talk page.--ADtalkModerator 02:35, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
