Conservapedia talk:Conservapedian
None of this can be said to be true of Conservapedians in general. It applies to the CP Elite (most of them, anyway) and to the articles themselves. Heck, CP probably has more vandals, trolls and socks at any given time than it does true "Conservapedians" who follow any of the descriptions on this page. Lurker 23:36, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- I clarified the intro, you're right, most "users" of CP are unlikely to be "for" the project, they go there for entertainment. human 10:27, 22 January 2008 (EST)
- Heh, heh "Friend of Andy". Sounds like some kinda cult. And I guess it really is some kinda cult.... *shiver* Lurker 10:41, 22 January 2008 (EST)
- Thanks, and, yes it is a cult. A rather strange one, but that's what America is for. Anyway, thanks for pointing out the problem in the article - often RW goes a bit overboard with generalizations (about religion, about "conservatives", and here, about CP) and it's nice to catch them and correct them. human 11:16, 22 January 2008 (EST)
- That's what I'm here for ;-) Interesting side note: in Sunday school class one time (don't worry, we are a "normal" church, not an "Andy" church) we were talking about cults. It's been a couple years now so I don't remember the definition exactly, but we defined a cult as a group of people who use a legitimate spiritual or religious message and skew it to some (sometimes evil) purpose for which it was not originally intended. That's the Friends of Andy to a T. Lurker 11:44, 22 January 2008 (EST)
- Yes, we may not always agree with you (or you with us - though of course, technically, "you" are part of "us"), but you serve a valuable function in helping us reduce the propensity to groupthink. human 12:04, 22 January 2008 (EST)

racism[edit]
I regularly edit at conservapedia and I am not impressed that you even suggest there could be racism there. I am not a totally loyal devotee at CP and have been banned on more than one occasion but I have yet to see any evidence of racism. I know that there is a partial retraction but I think there should be a total one, unless you can show racism.--Chris111 00:02, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
- All that affirmative action president crap is racists prima facie. tmtoulouse nettle 00:06, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
- I still think that's just a poorly executed stunt by Andy to smear Obama.
- On the other hand, who can forget Terry "anti-multiculturalism" H and Ed? NightFlareStill doesn't have a (nonstub) RWW article. 01:21, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
- Yea I know there is disagreement about that, I just wanted to type prima facie. tmtoulouse nettle 01:22, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
- Well, now that I know the CORRECT definition of prima facie, I agree. NightFlareStill doesn't have a (nonstub) RWW article. 01:27, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
- Yay for consensus building! tmtoulouse nettle 01:30, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
- I am also a long-time contributor to CP (check my edits!), but I agree that the "CP stance" is racist and embarrassing to all sane people. ħuman 01:34, 18 July 2008 (EDT)

Sentences[edit]
Any chance of rewriting this article using complete sentences? No? I thought not. Oh well. Consign my whining to the ashbin of history... ħuman 01:48, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
