First of all I have to question how on-mission this is. Second of all you can visit farms where they raise birds for foie gras. They love it. They go right up to their handlers so they can gorge--Hastur! (talk) 13:51, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

  1. Analyzing and refuting pseudoscience and the anti-science movement;
  2. Documenting the full range of crank ideas;
  3. Explorations of authoritarianism and fundamentalism;
  4. Analysis and criticism of how these subjects are handled in the media.

I think it fits 3.; force-feeding animals (human or not) is authoritarian as it gets. — Godless Raven SDAPOe logo.svg talkstalkwalkbalk 🌹 Flag of Europe.svg 13:54, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

In regards to animal welfare: Report on Welfare Aspects of the Production of Foie Gras in Ducks and Geese, by the EU Scientific Committee on Animal Health and Animal Welfare Godless Raven SDAPOe logo.svg talkstalkwalkbalk 🌹 Flag of Europe.svg 14:01, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
I'm unconvinced, as this report doesn't reflect my personal experience, and practices likely vary from farm to farm, but personal experience isn't really worth anything when it comes to mainspace, so I'll leave it alone--Hastur! (talk) 14:10, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
Right, do you agree that it is on-mission then, based on my reasoning? @HasturGodless Raven SDAPOe logo.svg talkstalkwalkbalk 🌹 Flag of Europe.svg 15:49, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
Maybe, but taking a clear stance on the issue less so. This would have to be a "both sides" deal--Hastur! (talk) 15:51, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
I'm not entirely convinced that this is missional either. Unless we have a digital kook or crank who has made this their hill to die on (in which case unless it's multiple people, just integrate it into their article), I don't think this article is missional. Animal cruelty, whilst horrible isn't exactly uh Authoritarian. I linked the page of what it means so that you might be able to figure out what it means.
