2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

I thought I'd post this to the atheist & agnostic group so they could read my review... then my sensible gene kicked in and said "Dude, you just took the piss out of them and admitted you spent an inordinate amount of time checking out the cute one sat next to you. Not cool. Not cool at all." Scarlet A.pngpostate 23:47, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Can you explain to nonUkians what this is about? Тytalk 23:54, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
I dropped the link in the header. It was originally a discussion between Stephen Fry and Christopher Hitchens, but with Hithcens being ill they basically turned it into a discussion about him. It was screened live to various cinemas, or you could pay a £5 subscription to get it for 30 days over the internet (kinda pointless as I expect it to be on YouTube by the end of the night), so I got together in a room with a bunch of people I'd never met before (except one) and watched it. Thanks very much. Тytalk 23:58, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
Have bunged a more coherent explanation into the essay based on the post above. Scarlet A.pngtheist 00:03, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
