Essay talk:The flip side of William Dembski's "immodest proposal"

While evolutionary biology can more than answer their essay prompts (I'm actually reading a whole book on the second, and it's quite interesting), you know the ID responses are something like this:

  • the creator caused the Cambrian explosion because he wanted to, and He did so in some way which we can't figure out because He's omnipotent.
  • the eye is designed according to some massive blueprint that He thought up (evidently while inebriated, because it's backwards and upside-down...don't look for them to admit that part).
  • and so forth.

That's what's so insidious and dangerous about intelligent design: it precludes asking meaningful questions and basically just stops that line of inquiry in its tracks. It's not even science anymore. --Thinker 22:26, 14 December 2008 (EST)

Maybe adding which week would be helpful. [[User:K61824|]][[User_talk:K61824|]] 02:29, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

I just took it out--no need to specify. Thanks for the input. Sterile broadsword 02:58, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
