Problems[edit]

  1. Based on oldid, we have 915009 edits. The magic word {{NUMBEROFEDITS}} says 2,683,978.
  2. This includes every namespace, but the question "Who wrote RationalWiki" implies this is about mainspace content.
  3. Not every contribution remains in the current version. Ed Poor also "wrote" a lot of WP's articles.

Yeah, but the oldid is unique for every edit, so we can't have more edits than that. I don't know why there's a discrepancy. -- Nx / talk 07:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
I thought the oldid reset at some point. Tetronian has a brainstar saying he made "RationalWiki's one millionth edit" back in 2009-10, for instance.
My wording was kind of a response to Human's comment that he "wrote" RW over at McWiki. Blue (pester) 12:20, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Oldid can't be reset, every revision has to have a unique id. And I suspected as much re:Human's comment, but that only reinforces my point. -- Nx / talk 12:56, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
