I have installed Mediawiki on my new website. But I didn’t get any idea on how to configure my site home page. I want my website home page like this: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki I want to submit some articles in my wiki site, so I need to create 3 to 5 categories as appears in above link. Can someone explain it to me in pretty simple procedures, how do I configure my wiki home page in 3 or 4 sections? Looking forward for your replies.— Unsigned, by: Johnhodges80 / talk / contribs
- Appearance has little to do with media wiki and everything to do with styles. It's conventional inline html and css, although with some limitations. d hominem 11:05, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- I guess you could copy and paste the page source. But I have little idea what I'm talking about. Anyways, I stuck it here--User:Brxbrx/sig 11:08, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- It would be this source you need, but as there are a lot of transclusions it's difficult to extract the layout exactly. I would just do it from scratch rather than copy-pasting. bomination 11:12, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- To be brutally honest, if you haven't figured out how to sign talk pages then you may find the task a little difficult.--BobSpring is sprung! 12:23, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

I recommend learning HTML/CSS before/while trying something like that, just like I am. Flitzertalk to me :D|see my shit 02:50, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
