Forum:Symbol for political party based on reason
Hi, everyone.
Someone referenced me to this place with my question, and I'm not sure how I've managed to miss it in my searches.
This could also have been placed in the "Politics" category, but seeing as it's more of a general question I chose to place it there.
I am working on establishing a new political party with the aim of moving politics in a direction where special interests and partisan politics plays a smaller role, replaced by reason. I know, you've probably seen suggestions of this before, and it's not exactly something that's trivial to pull of. Still, we've established the organization and registered it in Norway - and we'll see how it goes.
Now, too my question. An organization needs it's symbol/logo. So far someone has suggested something based on Plato's model for the universe, this could perhaps work as a logo in some kind of simple form, although I'm not sure. I would love to find something that can be related to reason or a related theme. Does any one have any suggestions? — Unsigned, by: LHE / talk / contribs 2012-10-27T10:52:04
- Try something based on this; it should appeal to the kind of people who espouse your deterministic take on rationalism. ListenerXTalkerX 01:54, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- I am not very sure how a half naked guy holding a bunch of rings, which a crane could probably do better espouses rationalism. So how about... 1+1=2? makes for a catchy graffiti too. Probably. Sen (talk) 04:11, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- To continue the joke I was attempting above, "A is A" would probably attract more "rationalists" than "1+1=2." ListenerXTalkerX 05:09, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
