Is it a metaphorical saying, or could at the time it was said, be token literally?

I suggest asking the people who use it. I also suggest not toking, literally or not. ;)--ZooGuard (talk) 10:10, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Oooh shit, my fault. Ahah It is a famous saying by Leopold Kronecker. S. Hawking wrote a book with that title too (about the most important ideas in maths ). He's a known atheist, so it makes me thinkthe quote is more of a metaphor that describes how important objective knowledge is (..maybe). Gianga23 (talk) 10:16, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Metaphorical, yeah. Similar to Einstein's "God does not play dice," it's a way of speaking that uses religious imagery for impact, not a literal claim. {{SUBST:User:Wehpudicabok/sig}} 21:36, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
