Fun:Didactic megalomania
Didactic — intended to convey instruction and information as well as pleasure and entertainment
Megalomania — a delusional mental disorder that is marked by feelings of personal omnipotence and grandeur
Didactic megalomania is the delusion one suffers while writing a blog or article on a wiki. It is the idea that not only do you have something to teach but that there is a huge audience of lurkers, perhaps the whole world waiting to read what you post.
Most people who participate on web 2.0 experience it at some levels but some experience it to the point of pathology. Such people often argue their points by reference to page view statistics or use the Argumentum ad Google ranking fallacy.
