2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Fun:Placement bias

From RationalWiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Placement bias is the liberal trait of rearranging things into an improper order.

All existing versions of the Bible are filled with liberal placement bias. For example:

The Ten Commandments[edit]

(Exodus 20:2-17)

  1. Thou shalt not have any other gods before me
  2. Thou shalt not make for yourself an idol
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord in vain
  4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy
  5. Honor thy father and mother
  6. Thou shalt not commit murder
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery
  8. Thou shalt not steal
  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
  10. Thou shalt not covet

See? Liberal placement bias! Why is "Thou shalt not commit adultery" number 7 on this list? It should be number 1! We must create a new translation of the Bible to fix this.
