A spittake is a semi-involuntary reaction that occurs when you move to suppress a sudden explosion of air while you have a fluid in your mouth. The sudden burst of air can arise from a wide range of reasons, such as reading a hysterical joke, a hiccup (not as dramatic), or reading Conservapedia in general.
How to perform a correct spittake[edit]
- Sit at a computer
- Place plastic foil over the mowse, keyboard, and screen. This will protect your computer.
- Flip to Fundies Say The Darndest Things, Conservapedia, or anything that will cause involuntary: Laughter, screams, or other bursts of air.
- Drink a beverage while reading. For the purpose of this exercise, you can use water, although the author of this article recommends Mountain Dew (after all, your computer is covered).
- Read away until you lose voluntary control and expel the contents of your mouth onto the computer.
