Hmmm...if I wanted to do an article on the governmental use of the term intelligence (gathering info), what should I head it? Researcher 22:16, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
- Human Intelligence (HUMINT). Signals intelligence (SIGINT). Electronic intelligence (ELINT). HUMINT covers what spies do. SIGINT is what they do when they intercept phone calls. ELINT is getting the parameters of radars to identify platforms.Teresita 22:25, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
- And if I want to cover all of these in one article? (And, of course, add OSINT, MASINT, and IMINT.) Researcher 22:27, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
- "Government intelligence gathering"???? I dunno. What do you think? Can you at least de-orphanize it after you write it? ħuman 00:26, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
- Easily de-orphaned, since we have a CIA page. (That's what the "I" stands for, after all!) Just still not sure on the name. Researcher 00:33, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
- Actually, I've never figured out how to make a "fork" page. I'd like to title the page something like "intelligence (policy)" or "intelligence (governmental)". Do you think either of those would work? Researcher 00:52, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
- To make a fork page you put "{{fork}} at the top and list the articles are bullet points. The goat does the rest. How about "military intelligence"? Or "intelligence gathering" (I guess I already said that). One point is to come up with a title that might get linked to. Another point is to not worry, name it what you will, write it, link it, and, as Kendoll says, "if you bild it they wil kum". ħuman 01:04, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
- Since intelligence is used for more than just the military, I don't want to sue "military intelligence". But, I'll come up with something tomorrow. (I'm a little too tired to do it tonight.) I'll probably crib from the notes I used to lecture on the subject. As I'm most familiar with American intelligence, I'll ask that others fix any glaring oversights I make, once I get the page up and running. (Again, tomorrow night at the earliest.) This is junk. Can we delete it or at least throw it to fun space? It really doesn't say anything about anything. ŴêâŝêîôîďMethinks it is a Weasel 20:22, 1 February 2009 (EST)
- Delete (or remove all content & rewrite). (Toast) and marmalade 21:31, 1 February 2009 (EST)
- Move to fun is good. It's funny, and has some RW history jokes in it. But lame for mainpspace. ħuman 23:11, 1 February 2009 (EST)
Do you really think we have an equal collective IQ with what might possibly be the most ignorant non-openly-racist site on the internet? Rabbitxhampster (talk) 06:08, 20 October 2010 (UTC) Granted, though. I know nothing about the two people mentioned who change our IQ scores. Rabbitxhampster (talk) 06:10, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's a damn joke. And you may not know them, but they are legion. ħuman 06:32, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
