I like this, but it should probably be implemented as some sort of mode that we can turn on (like when it's nighttime). Neveruse513 10:13, 24 April 2009 (EDT)

Define night. --  Nx/talk  10:15, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
EC) Nighttime where? We've got 24 hour sysop, not to mention Burrowcrat, coverage. ToastToastand marmite 10:17, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
Yeah, the whole concept of "night-time" doesn't exist when the site is global. Just look at the straw poll about how to pronounce WIGO and you'll notice that there are just as many European and US editors. Shutting things on and off at will is a pointless waste of time. ArmondikoVpostate 10:24, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
It's always nighttime somewhere. The mode could be implemented ad hoc. Is it just the name you guys are hung up on? Neveruse513 10:32, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
NO, it's just that we don't need it. (switching - that is) Anyhow, who gets the switch control?ToastToastand marmite 10:33, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
I thought more people would remember the night mode troll I did a while back...I really don't feel like messing with you any more right now, but god, it seems like you guys could go on forever about anything.. Neveruse513 10:35, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
Not quite sure what that's aiming at, but it's mostly because there's more than 2 people on the site and they all have the right to chime in on discussions. Hence they can get lengthy. Anyway, it is because "night" mode is pointless and an "ad hoc" thing is even more needless, confusing and more liable to be the cause of some abuse. ArmondikoVpostate 10:44, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
He was joking. --  Nx/talk  10:46, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
Then apologies all 'round. Yes, we can go on a bit, but there's a legitimate reason for it. ArmondikoVpostate 10:50, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
I thought that one of the qualities of a joke was humour. No? ToastToastand marmite 11:00, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
trolling != joking. Neveruse513 20:01, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
