Multi-platform[edit]
1 | SearchMenu allows you to search the internet for any word you highlight. Works on any document on your computer, not just web pages. |
2 | Foxmarks sync and back-up bookmarks/favourites and passwords. Indispensable if you use several different PCs. Works in Firefox, IE and Safari. |
0 | Cooliris allows you to browse the internet via a 3D "picture wall" where recent news stories (or search results) are displayed as images. Comes with a handy Sci-tech channel for sciency news. |
Firefox[edit]
1 | Fireshot captures screenpages, including the entire web page if you want, and has various editing and other options. |
5 | Screengrab is another screen capture extension. Copy or save the whole page, visible window, selected portion. |
0 | Cool previews produces a pop-up preview of a hyperlink. Great for browsing WIGO pages, or dodging rickrolls. |
0 | Organize Status Bar arranges and hide icons in status bar. |
0 | RefControl Alters the "referrer" field (where you clicked a link from) in the logs of a site you visit. Useful if, for some reason, you don't want the webmaster to know where you come from or if you want to appear to come from some strange place. More info here |
0 | Linkification turns text links into clickable ones |
