Is this redundant with Help:Scripts? talk 15:23, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, it is. Let's hope the author doesn't do anything stupid, such as deciding to merge that page into this one.--ZooGuard (talk) 15:31, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- I'm also planning to write a guide for how to write scripts. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR So you think opposing Nazis is tilting at windmills? 15:33, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
This page isn't just redundant, it's wrong and adds nothing to help pages we've already got. Nx did a great job. Javascript can do anything your browser can do, so it's simply false that it can't "insert logs." Javascript gadgets in wide use on RW interact with the site through the API, even obtaining and passing credentials for actions that require a user to be logged in or have certain user rights, greatly simplifying tasks that would require multiple clicks. 16:33, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- It really is unproductive to have two pages, and this one is rather isolated. There are lots of resources about Javascript and many about Mediawiki and Javascript. talk 23:37, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
