Jewish Bolshevism[edit]
My grandfather's family had a number of Jewish Bolsheviks before they emigrated to Canada in the teens. What does any belief about them have to do with racism, motherfucker? 15:12, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
- There were Bolsheviks who were Jewish. Claiming that Communism is the work of Jews is racist. This isn't a topic that I should be discussing here. I invite you to discuss it in private over at Gamer-Net or on Facebook. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein 03:15, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- It occurred to me that this might be about this "If you believe this user is a Jewish Bolshevik, you might be racist." There was someone who claimed that the Warhammer 40,000 army I'm doing with a friend is intended to indoctrinate people with the storyline behind it. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein 03:41, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

- Translation from Iquisitorese to AssumeBadFaithish: Someone somewhere on the Internet called IE a Jewish Bolshevik for some reason or other. They may or may not have been an out-and-proud racist, or at least a fan of the Third Reich. In defiance/to taunt them, IE decided it's a good idea to add to his userpage an userbox (now removed) saying "If you believe this user is a Jewish Bolshevik, you might be racist." and to sign himself as "IE, Jewish Bolshevik".--ZooGuard (talk) 15:00, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Scripts[edit]
Inquisitor,
I saw your message. Sadly, I didn't actually write that script, it was originally written by Lupin over at en.wikpedia.org. What I did was to port it for use over here, I'm not all that good at writing Javascript, so I can't volunteer to script for you. I appreciate the invite, though. Spasiba ! DeadMan Wonderland
- I'm not real advanced in scripting knowledge either. I've done a few basic things though, if you want to work on anything. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR 02:35, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

- I'm aware. That's a common defense. There's still a big difference between being intolerant of actual hate groups and being intolerant against people who have different opinions. Hating the Westboro Baptist Church: legitimate intolerance. Claiming that someone is homophobic for supporting legal gay marriage but not wanting to call it marriage: bigoted against different opinions. I think that gay marriage should be called marriage and that it's infantile and overly conservative and silly to not want to call it marriage, but I'm mature enough to handle different opinions and I don't think that people who want to call it something different are bigoted against gay people. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR 04:17, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- I am yet to hear a genuine argument from a public figure for not wanting to call a marriage of a same sex couple marriage that is not rooted in homophobia. AMassiveGay (talk) 12:26, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- I've talked to people like that. It's because some people are overly conservative about what things are called. If you accepted their support for gay marriage instead of trying to claim that they're bigoted, you would have a lot more support. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR So you think opposing Nazis is tilting at windmills? 13:52, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- I will accept their support for gay marriage when they actually support it, not when they think calling it something else is the same thing or has the same status. Seperate but equal IS bigotry. AMassiveGay (talk) 14:11, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- If they're supporting the legal right of gay marriage than they're supporting it. If there are Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon, and Tomato fundies who are too self righteous and bigoted to accept that, it's their problem. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR So you think opposing Nazis is tilting at windmills? 14:21, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- no they are not supporting gay marriage and it isn't 'people being overly conservative about what things are called' its people not wanting filthy queers sullying their concept of marriage. Its people not want the relationships of gay people validated by law. Its people saying yes you can have the same rights, but don't think for a second that your relationship is any as valid as proper marriage. Its people saying you and your kind will forever be second class. So yes, if you oppose gay marriage I will call you a homophobe and a bigot and I will not be satisfied just because you are no longer burning me at the stake. AMassiveGay (talk) 14:28, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- EC, I am trying hard not suggest any hypocrisy of someone who sees Nazis crawling out of the woodwork lecturing people about seeing bigotry when there is none, but I guess I just failed at that. AMassiveGay (talk) 14:34, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- There are some people who want the distinction for that reason. There are others who are overly silly about what should be called "marriage." You need to recognize the difference in motives for the same belief. If you try to group them all together as homophobes, than you're a bigot and you're doing the exact same us-them bullshit that bigots, segregationists, and genocidal regimes do. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR So you think opposing Nazis is tilting at windmills? 14:36, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Separate but equal]. Calling it "conservative" answers nothing about motives or effect, which Gay addressed well. 16:19, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- I've met people who are clearly very supportive of gays and who reject church silliness about opposing two dudes doing it in the ass and living together, but who were overly silly about what they wanted to call marriage. I don't think that it's bigoted to support the legal right but want to call it something different; other people disagree. Nazis crawling out of the woodwork[edit]
Good to see that comment. So you think that the 19 year old Black kid who was murdered by Nazis is just a tin foil hat joke. There's no fucking backpedalling from that now that you revealed that about yourself. And since you've decided to take this to ad hominem, get out of your limited, sheltered, rich White circle jerk that's keeping your head in rich White liberal groupthink you Yankee fuck. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR So you think opposing Nazis is tilting at windmills? 14:42, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- OK I've tried to be civil but that's obviously impossible considering wafer thin skin. What the fuck is wrong with you? You are a living breathing Godwin's machine. It is you who is actively supporting Nazis and their ilk by calling everyone a Nazi so that everyone stops listening. You are like the boy who cried wolf. Do you really think, considering your near constant references and allusions to Nazis, that a glib reference to that fact marks me a racist, murders condoning, Nazi sympathiser? You are fucking imbecile. Do you think that you can tell from that glib remark what kind of background, lifestyle I have, how wealthy I am, what circles I move in? You have no grasp of who people are or their motivations and you make no attempt to find out. You'd be a disgrace if you weren't such a fucking joke. I'm not back pedalling from anything I have said because, as you'd realise if you weren't such a inane prick, there is nothing to back pedal from. AMassiveGay (talk) 15:24, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- You made the attack first. We should drop attacks if we want to discuss this rationally. I'm not taking a guess at your background from that comment; it's from your intolerance of different opinions. This is something that liberals I know take seriously, and they consider it a bad thing to be locked into a liberal community, experience only liberal views, and end up adopting liberal groupthink. Anyway, I'll ignore it. We should not have made personal attacks. I'll keep discussing this without attacks if you want, if you do the same. –Aleksandr Ehrenstein ЯR So you think opposing Nazis is tilting at windmills? 15:32, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Vicious defamation against TheAmazingAtheist[edit]
- This discussion was moved here from talk:TheAmazingAtheist.
This article that you have is viciously defamatory. I suspect that many of you will try to say that it is not. I strongly caution against this verdict. The outcome of this report will set a precedent for any similar articles. How can you even be sure that he wasn't impersonated? Fergelteskaya (talk) 19:07, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- The page appears to be fairly extensively sourced. Can you provide a specific part you believe to be defamatory? AntiDeathPill (talk) 19:10, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- Some Rational Wiki editors said that a similarly well cited article on another wiki was defamatory. It seems that users here think that articles like this are defamatory, so I'm bringing this to your attention. Fergelteskaya (talk) 19:12, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- Believe it or not, RationalWiki editors are not a unified, amorphous mass that form a hivemind and act as one. Even if we were a shoggoth or a siphonophore, the conduct of editors elsewhere does not affect the actual content of the page nor the standards by which it is evaluated to be defamatory. For a statement to be defamatory, it must be objectively false; you provide no such statement on the page, and I cannot find one. AntiDeathPill (talk) 19:21, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
