Talk:Arlie Russell Hochschild
Overemphasis on Hochschild as a scholar of feminism, rather than as a scholar of emotions and feelings in general?[edit]
I have adjusted the lead, given that Hochschild seems to focus not mainly on women, but on feelings and emotion and their interaction with certain social contexts, particularly the family and the workplace/market. I’ve also removed the claim that female sociologists are exceptional, since it wasn’t sourced (it’s not in the source cited) and I’ve not seen anything to suggest that women are particularly scarce within sociology.
